My Name is Dennis. I have been a naturalist for about 7 years. I am interested in hearing from any families or students in chicago area to participate in a nude swim indoors.

Also I am Catholic and looking for other catholic nudists to share views and theology with.

Hi I'm not from the Chicago area but I am catholic and I too would like to hear others thoughts. I realy do not know were the church would stand but I am sure they would see it as shame full and sinful and all tied to sex somehow. The church leadership is to old and concerative has no concept of the changing modern world. I guess I have put it in the same class as birth control. God gaves us a body we are the stuards of it. We have to make discions that are right for us. As long as what we do does not hurt others or deminish your selfworth it should be OK.

I am not Catholic but I have often seen these two quotes from the Pope:

"Nakedness itself is not immodest... Immodesty is present only when nakedness plays a negative role with regard to the value of the person, when its aim is to arouse concupiscence, as a result of which the person is put in the position of an object for enjoyment." -- The Pope, while still a Polish Cardinal

"Adam and Eve were nude but they were not ashamed. Furthermore, because God created it, the human body can remain nude and uncovered and preserve its splendor and its beauty." - Pope John Paul II

Maybe it will give you strength to see that nudism is okay. I'm sure quoting the Pope to someone convinced otherwise will not sway their opinion, however.

    Hope this helps anyway.

    Good luck!
