Update on my Wife

Hi,

I started the "I'd like to introduce my wife to nudism" post a while back. I recieved good ideas and advice from many of you and said I would write again if anything new happened. Well, it did. Patience and acceptance has begaun to pay off.

Both of us wanted some sun this weekend. The beach was too cold, and we didn't want to do a pool. My wife suggested a park, I agreed that it was a good idea and further suggested another park that we had hiked in the previous year. Back then I had suggested that it was nice and remote and would be good for sunbathing, since it was much closer than the beach. She thought it was a bad idea at the time.

We both got in our bathing-suits first then put hiking clothes on top. We arrived at the state park and it was void of people as usual. It's a huge place, it would take two days to hike across it, but there are usually only a couple of cars there...mostly hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders.

We hiked about a mile then decided to find a place off the visible path to catch some sun. We hiked up and around a hill (very very grassy) so that we were not visible to the path. I put out the blanket and towels. She was getting out of her hiking clothes (into her bathing suit) and said, "hurry up and strip"...I was taking my time I guess. I replied, jokingly, "everything?". She laughed. In a few seconds I was down to my bathing suit. She was still working on her pants/legs, I guess they were sort of twisted. She said "I can't wait to get out of everything". I was like "for real?...I will". She didn't say anything, just looked at me like it was ok.

You don't have to ask me twice...I proceeded to get in my most comfortable outfit, nothing. To my utter amazement, so did she. We felt like two school kids being crazy. She was a little worried about airplanes flying overhead, but I figured if we couldn't see the pilot, how in the world could they see us? She said that the whole situation of being outside naked and the potential of being caught was really turning her on. I remembered the advice of not making the first experience a sexual one per se. So I was careful not to innitiate anything.

It was so nice to finally be outside in the open air and sun with my wife beside me, like adam and eve. [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img] ...she did end up seducing me too, but I guess that's ok and normal for two married people in love. There was really no one for miles.

On the way home we both agreed that that was the craziest thing each other has done. Which is really the truth for two people born and raised in conservative christian homes.

The best part was that she said she would do it again. She enjoyed it! I'm so happy.

I know it's not a nude beach (my ultimate dream) but I'm happy, so happy to be able to share that one part of my life with her. I guess it's one small step for me, one giant leap for my wife.

Fresh air: If your wife liked that she will also like a nudist camp. The best way to introduce her is to go during the week theres not alot of people. Thats how my wife started and now she loves it. Ps. have to wait to get home for the sexual part. HaHaHa! good like! [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif[/img]

Good idea about the weekday resort trip. I think we're still far away from that, but I'll certainly keep it in mind.

I am wanting to ask my wife to go to a nudist club this summer. We have several here in Kansas. They even have open houses where clothing is optional for first time visitors. The problem is...I'm scared to death she will commit me to an institution for bringing it up. We enjoy going nude around the house when the kids are gone, but taking the next step of doing it socially worries me on how she will react to the idea. I have printed many articles and stories from this site for her to look over and realize that normal people enjoy social nudism. The other thing is she is very self-conscious about her body. I think she is beautiful, but trying to convince her of that...very challenging. Any ideas?

Fresh Air: Congratulations on your success with step 1 and your wife! I would suggest several other trips like your last one before venturing onto the beach...unless your wife suggests it. You are following the right path with her, patience, patience, patience, and let her suggest repeating this successful outing the next few times. These nude day trips may not come as often as you'd like, but they will once she feels more comfortable with outdoor nudity.

Believe me, it took about three years to get my wife to this stage and she now frequently suggests a nude day at a resort or beach. Because I allowed her to become comfortable at her own pace. [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif[/img]

If you are seeking advice I will give you the same advice I gave Fresh Air the first time and this time. Patience and allow your wife to experience nudity more frequently at home and in the privacy of your yard. Once she is comfortable there, then you can suggest other places with the stimpulation that if she is uncomfortable, you will leave.

After my wife was comfortable at home and in the backyard, I suggested a nude beach. We sat near other couples but far enough away so my wife didn't feel crowded and overwhelmed. I asked her where she wanted to sit on the beach. After awhile and several simular trips, we began sitting closer to other couples and ended up making good friends with another nudist couple. We remain friends today 3 years later.

Vin: I was in the same boat at first. Last year, when I decided to go be nude at home, my wife was in utterly shock. I think, for maybe two-cents, she would have had me locked up in an insane asylum. Of course, I decided in a split second. When I told her I called the neighbors for their views (about going nude in the backyard), she thought I lost it. Also, before she went to town, I just dropped my shorts, right then and there. When she returned home, I was in the back yard, cleaning the pool, nude of course. After having so many tragedies in my family the previous year and a half, I told her, I'm going to start living "my" life from then on, because life is so short and cannot be taken for granted.

This year, when the weather began to warm up, I started out like I finished last year, going nude. Over time, she has joined me (when the kids are gone. We remodeled the bathroom, and to my amazement, she joined me nude also. So it was her and I, both nude, working on the bathroom. Being nude outside is something different. She will wear a light blouse,(bottom revealed) but long enough to hide the essentials. She will not (bare) herself out in the yard, yet, but she has made plans on adding a garden around the fence.

We did go to a nudist beach over Easter weekend (first time in over twenty years). She did not join me nude, due to the fact, there was no sun screen. But she did walk along the beach with me, and we had a nice time. Next time, the sun screen will be handy.

Since going nude at home, she has become a regular on this site. She enjoys reading the jokes and communicating with other "joksters" through private messages. I think she likes the nudist lifestyle, when no kids are around. As far as going to a nudist resort, I'll try that one day. I'm not sure if she will be nude around others, in a home-like atmosphere, but we'll find out one of these days.

My suggestion, is to have your wife look at this site, show her the many different threads, pictures and links available. As with my wife, I showed her that nudity is not related to sex (but you don't have to undress either). Maybe, she will become a new member and spend a lot of her time talking to others as well.
