We're a mature (57/47) naturist couple who are looking for a club that allows full time residency in a warmer area of the country. I'll be retiring from teaching at the college where I work at the end of this semester (yea!!!), and we plan to leave Michigan and move to an area with more clement weather (i.e., it's snowing outside right now--and it's April 4th!).
We currently live at a clothing optional club in Michigan, but the club is only open summers, and the rest of the year we have no facilities at all available. We bought a 40x12 dual loft park model trailer last summer and plan to move it to a permanent site if we can find a suitable club in a more temperate climate (i.e., FL, CA, AZ, NV, etc.) that allows year-round occupancy. An older club would be fine, but the availability of telephone service (to set up our direcway satellite connection to the Internet) is very important, as is (at a minimum) a pool, places to walk, and (of course) friendly and welcoming members. Since we no longer have kids at home (our son is in college), we'd prefer a club that is primarily adult (for the quiet), ideally one that has a number of full-time rv'ers or permanent residents as members, but that's flexible. We're interested in either a club that offers annual site rentals or one that allows the purchase of a lot with an annual "maintenance" assessment. The ability to erect an amateur radio antenna (or a flagpole, which can be used as one) is another very big plus.
Any tips, pointers, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Rick & Chris

Star Ranch, just outside Austin, TX has many full time residences as does a club in Edinburg (just north of Mexico), Sandpipers Resort. While I have not been to Sandpipers, I have heard several people say how nice it was. I have been to Star Ranch many times and the people are very friendly and I found it quite nice. However, Star Ranch does require you to be a member for one year before you are allowed to live there.
I have read of but never been to several what sound like very nice resorts in Florida they I would think you could enjoy.

Both clubs at Wills Point allow for full time residents. The Ponderosa is limited in space, and is mostly RV type living, but BB's Hideaway has space for Mobile homes. Both are near Dallas, and the weather here in Texas stays fairly warm...warmer that Michigan, I guarantee! :-)

I once lived at Riverside Ranch which is located SE of San Antonio, Texas back in 83-85. The people there are really nice and they have a website that is on the Texas listings. My now ex and i bought a 60 x 90 trailer and moved right in after he did the plumming and electric hookups. You might want to contact them for further information. I hope this helps.

I'm always decent--even when I'm nude.

There are a number of places that have year-round living. If you buy the North American Guide to Nude Recreation from AANR, you can see which ones do. I will be be moving to Serendipity Nudist Park in Cleveland, GA this month. It's small and mostly mobile home living, but it's sufficient for me and in my price range. There are resorts with homes, townhouses, apartments, and/or condos. Good luck in your search for a place to live nude; I found mine.

I hope you have already found some clubs/parks to check-out. But if not, I would suggest AANR, and go to Links. There are several listed with thier own web-sites. I have visited a few in the west-central Florida area. As I would not know your style, but can recommend Gulf Coast Naturist Park in Hudson, Fla., Lake Como Nudist club/park in Lutz, Fla.. Good luck .

I'd suggest a scouting trip to the Tampa area. Pasco County offers a variety. There are highly developed condominium resorts (Paradise and Caliente), a large co-op mobile home community (Lake Como), another mobile home community (Gulf Coast), plus nudist subdivisions of single family houses (Island Group, Oasis, and two or three others). Many nudists find they prefer to live within 5 miles of their club in textile subdivisions. Try our year-round nudist climate, and see if you can get used to paying no state income tax.
The other posts make good suggestions as well. Good luck.

Yeah, but what's the deal with its alter-ego, the intangibles tax?
