Yesterday was a sad day in American history. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the astrounats and their surviving families. There is a special place in Heaven for the seven brave souls that lost their lives aboard the space shuttle Columbia.

Yesterday was an equally sad day in Canada, not only do Canadians feel for the American Astronauts killed in the space shuttle disaster, we are mourning the loss of 7 teenagers killed in an avalanche, all 15 and 16yr old grade 10 students. I am an avid hiker, snowshoer, and back country skier so this hits home hard.
