Pasting in a video in this forum or an email
I did a search of this forum and could not find this.
How do people put a video, such as a You Tube video, into this forum or into an email. I see posts which include a video which actually plays within the forum. I tried, but it didn't work. I also tried to do the same into an email and could not do it there either. Also, sometines when I try to put a link into an email, it only copies the URL and is not really a link. Why?

Many videos have html code for "embedding" video in posts. Most YouTube videos for example. You can find the codes on their YouTube pages (on the right) or from the video itself, usually by clicking a button on the lower right corner.

OK, thanks. Then, how do I "paste" them into my post or email? I tried Control V, but it only pasted the text, not the link or video.

When viewing the Youtube video you just copy the address showing in the browser address bar & then paste that link in your email. This will then show up as an active link in the email.

If you don't want to have to go to or refer to YouTube or other tube like video servers all the time, there is a free download called "A Tube Catcher" which converts the video steam to video formats like Windows WMV and save the video on your hard drive as a file so its very easy to find, you don't rely on YouTube or similar video host of having that video online [Many are censored or later deleted due to Terms of service.] so its very easy to email, forward or watch at full speed when you want to and the video clip is forever saved until you delete it.
Try it, you will like it!
