Mozilla FireFox.....
Mozilla FireFox
After the MS IE security breach this week, I decided to try FireFox . I looked at it years ago, but didn't feel like "learning" another browser.
However, this time, with a little tweaking and a very slight learning curve, I find that it can do everything IE can do and more. And, it does it faster and better. I think I'm going to stick with it.
Any comments, pro or con?
I know there are some computer savvy people here, and I'd like to hear your opinions.

I've been using it for several years now rather than Internet Explorer. It does everything IE does and seems a bit faster as well.

I assume you mean "FireFox" and not foxfire.
Mozilla has some excellent software. I use FireFox for some of my browsing, and IE for other. I have experienced some loss of features of some sites with FF. I have had other sites that did not work with Vista if I was using IE.
FF also has some great Plug Ins like the weather fox.
There are other browsers that are very good too, like Opera and Safari. Safari is quite clean with a real nice look too.

Mozilla fire fox
I haven't looked at Fire Fox in a long time either. I was having some problems with Safari
so I thought what the heck I'll give it a try. Seems to do everything that Safari does & faster & more secure. Think I'll stay with it for a while. Always good to hear from some who like Mac a little better than the other guy.

I use Firefox exclusively and have done for s few years now, it is always one step ahead of IE, tabs for instance were on Firefox before IE.
This current security scare saw Firefox ahead of the game too, and shortly afterward I had an update, so on the ball yet again.
I remain impressed with the product.

I've been using FireFox for most of my browsing for years. I also use Opera which I find I'm liking more and more. Other alternative browsers are Safari, Google Chrome, and Maxthon. Maxthon has a look and feel very similar to IE.

I also switched to FF during the period of time it took Microsoft to compile a patch. I agree it is faster than IE and would probably switch if I could find a way to copy all of my favorites from IE to bookmarks of FF. Does anyone know of a procedure to do this without having to enter all of the information manually?

I've been using Firefox since way back when it was called "Firebird". Mozilla, Netscape, and Mosaic before that. I've never really used IE expect a work. But that only lasted until I found MobileFirefox.
