Can someone from Wisconsin or nearby fill me in regarding the current political climate surrounding Mazo Beach? Has the spectacular Rev. Ovadal given up after being arrested enough times, or is his group still trying to cause a scene? If things cool down, is there any hope the DNR will reopen the road? Although I get the impression that the state of Wisconsin hopes the beach will fade into obscurity if they make it inconvenient enough.
