Well I have heard about some resorts down in Baja but I don't know anyone who has ever been there.

The south western US is full of hotsprings out in the deserts it stays pretty warm on sunny days, damn cold at night though. Buy a guidebok for that one.

Check out Desert Shadows in Palm Springs they are a first class resort. Several other resorts in the Soutwest.

I have gone to the beach here sort of became a New Years day tradition with me. It is usually very comfortable durring the midday 70 or so.It really depends on what you are looking for and how much time and money you are willing to spend.

What part of Oregon are you from? I grew up there.

There's a resort re-opening in Loreto (was the Solare Desert Sun) that's all-inclusive that would be pretty easy for you to get to and probably fairly inexpensive, with a C/O beach and golf included. It's on the Baja and it's now called The Whale's Inn Resort. You may want to check it out. We will be going to Terra Cotta in Palm Springs the end of October for the first time so will check it out. Have heard nothing but good things about it. Also, stay away from the Blue Bay Getaway in Puerto Vallarta. I think now, however, it's called the Sun Getaway. Adults only (over 18) with a topless pool but I was about the only one topless so I got quite a bit finger-pointing and giggling from the "adults" that were there.

You will just love the time spent at the Terra Cotta Inn. My wife and I have been there many times and have NEVER been disappointed. Tom, the owner, and his staff will do every thing they can to make you visit a time you will want to remember. Great accomodations and wonderful service. Enjoy!!! Jetman
