Hello everyone! I'm enjoying reading everyone's posts...sharing their experiences and such.

I?m new to the nudist lifestyle. I enjoy traveling and went to Sydney for the Olympics and like it so much ended up staying there for almost a year. I got involved with a girl who introduced me to the lifestyle by bringing me nude beaches (which are plentiful there, Australian?s seem to be much more open then us Yanks). I was nervous at first, like driving on the ?wrong? side of the road, but it too passed very quickly. There are nearly no nude beaches or resorts in the Boston area where I live again/now. There is a resort (Berkshire Vista) in western MA on the NY border which is about 3? hours away from me. I went there this past summer, wasn?t bad although there weren?t many activities going on other then sun bathing. They do have volleyball, tennis, etc, but no one was participating?maybe just bad timing on my end. (Suppose I could have asked to get a game going :-) )

Well, I?m attending a conference in Orlando in mid February and was thinking of extending my stay a couple days and staying at Paradise Lakes. But I also don?t want to freeze my naked butt off either! What?s the average temperature for that area for that time of year? I am also going to be coming down to the Ft. Lauderdale area later this Spring for a class, would that be a better time to visit? If so, I was thinking of driving down to Haulover Beach in Miami during the first trip where it should be a bit warmer.

Also, I?m currently single and I know some resorts only allow couples/families. Does Paradise Lakes permit singles? Would anyone recommend somewhere else?

Thank you and have a Happy & Safe New Year!
Brian

I will be attending a conference in March, also in Orlando, and have done a bit of research into nudist outings in the area. Most, if not all, of the reorts in and around Orlando do not accept singles. It's a tought stretch around there.

After speaking with some folks at various nudist organizations in FL and doing a little more research, I am planning to use my extra day or so to head for Haulover Beach near Miami. It is a nudist mecca where the weather is almost always great and on a good weekend you will be joined by several thousand fellow nudists. Lots of activities on the beach and just really the place to be nude in FL.

Also closer to Oralndo are Playalinda Beach and Apollo Beach, but can be a bit of a hassle because of the parking situation. Nonetheless, I'll be checking one or both of them out as well. But my real destination will be Haulover.

Cypress Cove accepts singles, but I'm still unsure about the weather in Feb. I know it can definitely be warm enough, but it can also be in the low 60's or worse.

Plus Cypress Cove is like25 minutes away from the hotel where my conference is so I may just grab a hotel closer. And I was thinking of doing the drive down to Haulover myself too, only 4 hours. And I may arrange my flight so I'm flying out of Miami to save me the drive back up to Orlando.

Thanks,
Bri

David77 will become famous soon enough
HRA2001, BrianG and Others.
The following web page gives information as to whether or not various nudist clubs and resorts in the USA are "Singles Friendly".

Go to - netnude.com
Then scroll down to the "Links" section on the left hand side.
Sixth down, in this Links section, it states, - "USA - Singles Info". Click onto this.

Please read the information regarding the nudists resorts in Florida - and specifically about the policy of Cyprus Cove accepting singles. I understand it to say (but you may interpret it differently) that the conditions for singles to be admitted are, 1) only if they are members of one of a number of nudist organizations or, 2) have nudist experience, 3) or they are with someone who has nudist experience. It would be best to call first and talk to resort personnel about it.

I also believe that in May, as well as a couple other months during the year, they will also feature "Singles Weekend".

Incidentally, Cyprus Cove sells an introductory video tape regarding their resort which you can order, which is an excellent production.
