Another step forward for nudism today.
Toronto is hosting a huge 11-hour open-air concert today with the Rolling Stones as headliners. The purpose is to boost tourism in Toronto after the decline because of SARS. About 500,000 people are expected to attend in perfect weather.
City TV, a local station was answering emailed questions about today's concert. One question was "Are we allowed to get naked?" to which the answer was "Yes". This approval will have come from the Toronto Police.
Not only that, but an Ontario judge has recently ruled that the law against possession of marijuana is no valid. As a result, Toronto Police have indicated that they will no longer charge people for simple possession.
Nudity, pot and the Stones. What a combination!
Gary
P.S. There will be about 1200 police officers on site during the concert.

I thought about going, because I've never been to a Stones concert, but was interested only if I could get up near the stage. Would have meant being there about 6 am for a noon start, with the Stones scheduled for 9:30 pm. Too long. Guess that I'm getting soft in my old age.
Gary
P.S. Tickets cost only about US$15!
