I think Richard is a fine model for nudism. The weekly exposure (intended) to the television audience is a good thing.
It will be interesting to see how his teammate's attitudes evolve throughout the game. I expect acceptance and getting to just being as normal as the skimpy bikini bottoms some of the ladies are wearing.

It would be nice if they would show a clip of Him having a conversation about nudity with one of the "embarrassed" contestants. Or in some way show his nudity in a supportive, positive way.
Showing the women turning their heads in embarrassment makes him look more like an exibitionist.

It's not Richard's fault if some of the others look embarrassed, just as it's not our fault if Stu would feel upset at some of the things we find normal.
Richard's a gutsy guy, leading by example.
I haven't watched "Surviver" for years, but I remember seeing Richard in the series where he won. I just couldn't understand why all the others clung to their wet, uncomfortable, unhealthy, clothing.

I watched the first episode of Survivor's All-Stars. Richard Hatch, the winner of Series 1 and a declared nudist is one of the participants.
Richard was nude in two scenes shown. He went went in the water nude to swim/bathe. In the immunity challenge, which was a team event that took place both in the water and on shore, he was nude the whole time. His genitals and butt were pixellated out, of course.
There were two remarks shown: one in which one of the women said something mildly negative and the other where Jeff Probst announced "Richard Hatch nude!" during the challenge.
It appears that Richard will go nude whenever nudity is more appropriate than textility (new word just coined by me). This is great exposure (pun intended) for the cause of nudism.
Add Richard Hatch to the list of nudist heroes.

Yep, I agree with you and it is back on again tonight at 7 centeral time. According to the previews that I saw, he will be continueing with his way of playing the Survivor games and I say: " GO RICHARD"!!!!! We can only hope that more people are curious enough to try it and get hooked to this way of life that is very good!
Have a great nude day/night and stay warm! (we've got around 36 inches of snow on the ground total here)

Deb, you've got 36 inches of snow in Omaha?... Holy-Molly!
I'm way behind here with Survivor...Is Richard the guy who won the first one and there was a national controversy because he was so devious winning his million? Please forgive me for being so lame here...Sheesh!

Looks like I got my wish.
They showed a clip of one of the contestants saying that he didn't really mind Richard being nude. And he said that the others were "getting used to it" too.
I hope by the end of the show there are a few other contestants skinnydipping and keeping their clothes dry. And maybe a few more conversations about how nudity isn't such a bad thing.
I'll be watching.
