I just returned from a couple of enjoyable (albeit chilly) days at Turtle Lake and heard talk of it being in some type of financial difficulties. I was considering a season pass but decided to hold off until more info was available. I sure wouldn't want to lose my $$$$ thru the resort's bankruptcy.
Does anyone know what's going on?

Cautious optimism.
Turtle Lake is in receivership, not bankruptcy.
The receiver and owner have turned day to day management over to new General Manager Mark Hammond (Turtle Lake member and MSA president) and Asistant Manager Kerri Adkins. My opinion is that they are doing a great job.
The receiverhip is due to unresolved financial arrangements from when the current owner purchased the resort. One way or another the issue should be resolved in the next few months.
A year ago many people worried that the property might fall into the hands of developers or others who would find a more lucrative use of the land than a nudist resort. Today most of the insiders seem confident that Turtle Lake Resort will continue whether it ends up under new ownership or not.

Hey Mark,
Thanks for the quick feedback on this situation. That clears a lot things up. I hope it gets resolved amicably and remains as a nudist resort...it's a great place.
