Happy Ostara!

Gosh, it seems like Imbolc was just a few days ago. Here's hoping for weather warm enough to be skyclad outdoors. There's a great spot by the Cumberland River that I really enjoy for rituals. How about anyone else?

Blessings for renewal and growth,
Vin

We have a drum cirle planned, but it is March and this is Colorado, winter doesn't really end until after Beltane because snow is still a possibility.

I think Florida is the only safe place to plan a skyclad ritual

I think you may be right about Florida. Although Kentucky's weather is just unpredictable enough that you might get away with it here, too.

Ostara(SPRING EQUINOX)
Ostara (also know as Eastre, a Teutonic Earth Goddess) is the beginning of the agricultural year. It is time for the Earth to "spring" into action and to initiate and celebrate new beginnings. One of the most universal symbols of this sabbat is the planting of seeds and the sprouting of new life from the womb of the Mother Earth. The vernal equinox marks the beginning of the "light" half of the year, when day gradually becomes longer than night. From now until autumn, the power of the Goddess dominates our festivities bringing light, warmth, and fertility to the Earth. The courtship of the God and Goddess commences with this sabbat and this is an appropriate time to focus on the balance of male and female energies within ourselves.
The word "Easter" is derived from the word "Eostre" and the symbols used to celebrate Easter have a pre-christian origins. The Easter Bunny reminds us of the Hare, the animal sacred to the Goddess Diana and the eggs that the hare brings symbolize new beginnings, rebirth, continuity, and growth. As we all know, Easter always follows the first Sunday, after the first full moon of spring.
It is the only Chritian Holliday that still follows a lunar calender.
