A remarkable, perhaps historic, event has occurred in Southern California. A new church has been started that is openly and clearly body-positive. It's not a naturist church, but naturists are openly welcomed. Non-sexual social nudity is treated as a legitimate and healthy option for Christians.
The pastor is himself a practicing naturist, something that is openly disclosed in the website.

Once at the home page click on the link "Our Pastor and His Writings." Several of the scholarly articles there mention naturism in a positive way.
"Good Nudity" is an excellent article, and the article "Pornography" will be helpful to anyone who struggles with this addiction. It presents non-sexual social nudity as the antidote to the power of the pornographic. A couple of testimonies from readers add to the impact.
The church's theological approach is conservative and evangelical, but it has been able to find healthy alternatives to the usual stereotypes. Anyone who is in or near Anaheim might want to check them out. An added plus is that Pastor Jeff Bowman is an excellent preacher/teacher.
