Recently my local gym hosted a body building competition. This has happened many times without anything special happening. Well someone got the idea to try it without posing straps. Usually it is and audiance of just contenders with their wives,partners, or husbands. No children are ever in attendance and if that should happen to have a child attend we have a day care on site. We were plenty scared and nervous but we did it. We had 48 to show up for the pagent. 18 ladies and 30 guys and it was a huge success. In previous contest I was scared to the point of not being able to pose well. This time I was fine and did well. We had allot of fun and it was very professional. When I was presented my trophy the guy presenting it was in a tux. He started to hand it to me on stage then said wait a minute and went off stage. He returned in minutes just wearing his bow tie. The audiance started out totally clothed but eventually some got naked. The reception after was great and most contestants stayed nude and many of the audiance got nude too. Many said they had never been naked before in front of anyone and it was a great experience. We did not advertise this as much as we wanted as we are in Greensboro NC and knew we might get some real problems from the community.

This is more proof to my belief that if people would only give social nudity a try they would enjoy it and wonder why they hadn't done it sooner.
I told a married man at work yesterday that I was a nudist and that I go to Turtle Lake Resort. He was very interested but said his wife wouldn't be. He said he might go there without his wife, and I told him to tell her that she doesn't have to be nude unless she wants to swim or use the hot tub. I hope he does that.

Oops sorry I goofed the first time I tried to reply. Craig, I am really impressed that your health club was open to a nude body building contest. What a great idea! I am equally surprized at the number of contestants who participated. I'm curious; was it clothing optional or did all 48 of the contestants model nude? Did you get any negative responses when the idea was first proposed? I think it's great that whoever proposed it felt confident enough to do so and got a positive response. By the way congratulations on your prize and kudos to the presenter who decided to the appropriate formal wear was just a tuxedo tie. What do you suggest to promote this in other clubs? Also, how was it advertised and what was the turn out like for attendance and their response?

Do you really expect me to buy any of this? You mean to tell me that a North Carolina local gym, with body-building contestants and the viewing audience, just one day decided to get nude for no reason? Yeah, and pigs will fly out of my butt. At the least, one would think that body builders would be the last people ever to get nude in public, seeing as how they are so self-conscious about their bodies that they have to build them up so. |

Dukhat, I agree with you. I think it would be awesome but not happening in a regular setting...and certainly not there. But heck, I loved his fantasy...I have friends who are avid body builders and who have won major competitions and a couple of them would not have a problem posing nude but all of the contestants, and the MC stripping...NOT!
