Spanish Beaches

We are leaving for Spain in July and have read about many of the nude beaches and resorts. Does anyone have any experience there? We are looking forward to a combination of nude beaches and serious sightseeing.

I stayed once at the Costa Natura south of Malaga. It was one of the lovliest places I have ever been, well kept accomodation in beautiful gardens and complete nudity. People were friendly and there was a good atmosphere (Many people live there year round).

I wouldn't want to spend too long in any one place but this was a great place to relax at the end of a touring holday - alternatively it could be used as a base for trips out to Andalucia.

We are back from Spain and I am happy to report that the country has many possible places for naturists. Barcelona has a wonderful nude beach within walking distance of the center of town, or close to the metro system call Marbella beach, which is a posted legal naturist beach. It is populated by a mixed population of all genders and ages and has good sand and warm water. THere are people walking through selling beer, soda, and water, and there is some parking available. The country closes down for siesta so the beach is a wonderful place to visit when everything closes down.

We also visited a beach on the Med Sea named Playa del Cabo Pina, a rustic beach which was approx. 50% nude and was also very charming. It is located near Nerja on the way to Malaga. There are great websites listing the many Spanish nude beaches. This beach we found by accident while looking for another posted beach but spotted a number of cars and saw a couple of nude bodies from up above (the beach is about 150 feet down from the road.

We also visited the beach at Costa Natura, very nice and the resort is beautiful. Again the beach is legal, you can get refreshments from the Costa Natura beach bar, and there is some parking at the road.

Lastly we visited Benalnatura beach in Benalmedina, the best small nude beach we found. The beach has a great restaurant/bar which is busy all afternoon (we nicknamed it the bare buns bar) and is easily accessible from the highway with legal signage and a paved attractive stairway. The water is very rocky but the sand is great and there was a large crowd of people, including other Anglos. There is a shower, nice toilet facilities, along with the bar. There were children and adults and the beach setting is beautiful.

I would recommend Spain to all naturists.

(PS) We snuck across the border and spent a couple of days at Cap D' Agde which is only 3 hours from Barcelona.
