I hope this posting is okay, but I wanted to share my experiences of the past year battling fatigue. Last year I was working full time, going to school, and working on building a new business. I ran myself so rsgged that I got mono. It has been a battle to overcome the fatigue. I searched for cures for my problem, but nothing seemed to help.

Finally, one day I read about superfoods, and the article mentioned the acai berry. The berry has the highest amount of anti-oxidants found naturally. The anti-oxidants get rid of the free radicals that cause chronic illness. I am now taking an acai berry juice blend, and my fatigue is getting better.

I am sleeping better and feeling more energy. I am getting better workout sessions again, and I am starting to get definition in my muscles. I am happy with what I found that I wanted to let others know about it. I don't want to make this a commercial message, but I was wondering if any others know more about the acai berry. I am reading up more about it, and finding some amazing things.

If you want to know more, you can send me an email, and I will be glad to share the information I have.

Swimguy, glad to hear you're feeling better.

Are these berries also referred to as GOJI berries, by any chance? (They look like cranberries, and are grown in Tibet/China)

Acai (pronounced AH sigh ee) is a berry that is VERY high in antioxidant.

It derives from Amazon and very popular in Brazil. I discovered it from a friend who went to Brazil and came back with some drinks.

I am starting to see the popularity of acai. Whole Foods sells a few variety of pure acai drinks. Makers of the drink vitamin water have a drink called anti oxidant XXX, a mixture of acai and pomegranate.

Journeyman, acai and goji berries are different. They come from asian (China, Tibet). A close friend of mine loves them and eats them as snacks.

The berries come from the Amazon. Another great thing about the discovery of the berries as a super food is that it is helping to save the Amazon rainforests. International companies are now paying to reforest the area to preserve the production of the berries. Whatever the reason--I am glad to see that happening.

I should check out goji berries as well. I am getting into the natural health remedies more, and I will research that one.

It's good that the berries you are taking are NOT goji berries. Goji berries were exposed as a crock of bulls**t by our national broadcasting corporation, the CBC. You can see the episode here:

Though berries and antioxidants are not created equal, just about any edible beries are better than no berries. In the U.S., berries seem to be a forgotten food, comprising a much smaller percentage of our diet, on average than our stone age past, or even up a 100 years ago! I think sugared and artificially fruit-flavored junk foods have provided something that satisifies some of those cravings, but gives us nothing that our bodies really need.

yes! now that the warmer weather is upon us be careful working outdoors. three years ago i had a bout with heat exhaustion, close to heat stroke. just brushed it off as a virus. it has changed my whole chemistry. have treatments once a month to drain blood. when i had tests taken they discovered my body was producing too much blood volume. think this was an underlying problem. winter months are the hardest on me. so please take breaks and drink plenty of fluids.

There is a sensation in our national forum telling a wide spread potatoe weed "coin-grass" (looks like a hundred of greenish small coins glued at straw) if drinked in tea or used as salads is extremely beneficial for normalize the blood circulation and alters a testosterone level very sharp. Would be interesting to test it, never before I was able to immagine it is edible. Dictionary shows the English name for this flower - MARJORAM.
