My girlfriend and I have been contemplating a trip to a nudist resort in Oregon later in the month. We basically would like any practical advice, comments, ideas, etc. from others that would help us prepare for this and make it go smoothly. Thanks!
(We are young, and comfortable with our bodies.)

Hi Kevlar
We too live in Oregon (central coast area). Best advice I can give is just be yourselves and just be what what you would be if you were in a city park, only do it naked. Relax have fun and take a towel.
You will meet pepole who like to joke, some who just like to talk and some who are shy but would like to get to know you. If it's your first time, be honest about it and you will know doubt find some "old timers" who will be glad to talk with you and make you feel comfortable and introduce you around.
Good sun tanning and have a great day.

Kevlar,
Since you indicate that both you and your girlfriend are each comfortable with your bodies, you have an excellent start for your first visit!
Here are some suggestions for making your first visit most comfortable.
Some resorts want to be notified that you are coming before you arrive.
When you arrive at the resort, go straight to the office and register. Do not remove your clothes before you register, as you must be clothed in the registration office.
If you bring a tent, you may remove your clothes at your camp site while you are setting up your tent.
If you do not bring a tent, you would want to go to the inner parking lot (after registering) and there remove your clothes and put your clothes in your car. (At a "clothing optional" resort, a person may choose not to remove all clothing).
Here is a most important warning of a hazzard that some of us (including me) have learned the hard way! You, by habit, keep your car keys securely in your pants pocket, - but you won't have any pants pockets at a nudist resort! Be sure and take your car keys out of your pants pocket before you lock your clothes in your car. You may not be able to get a locksmith from town to come to the resort if it is a holiday, and especially if you lock your keys (still in your pants pocket) in the trunk of your car (as I did).
I now have a stretch type plastic spiral wristband where my keys remain, even when I am playing water vollyball. I have a flesh colored money belt where I carry a few bills to buy snacks or lunch at the resort, and I carry my sunscreen and a comb in my money belt for a quick combing after swimming. I understand that they sell beach towels with pockets which seems like a handy invention.
Here are other things to take with you;
A towel. Remember Linus in the comic strip who always carried his security blanket with him where ever he went? You will have to become a Linus and carry a towel where ever you go at the resort. It's regulations! You must sit on your towel whenever you sit down, for sanitary reasons.
I take both a lawn chair and a lounge chair, but take a folding lounge chair.
Sun screen.
Tennis racquet and balls.
Basketball.
Vollyball.
Some food and drink, if you wish, and especially if the cafe at the resort is not open.
Some type of shoes that you can easily slip out of. Sandals are good.
A broad brimmed hat to keep the sun out of your eyes.
Sun glasses, if you wish, and possibly some water goggles for swimming.
Never take a swim suit as they are not allowed - even in most clothing optional resorts.
I hope you both have a most wonderful time.

David, you wrote,
"When you arrive at the resort, go straight to the office and register. Do not remove your clothes before you register, as you must be clothed in the registration office."
Where I go in Virginia, the staff in the registration office are naked and there is no such rule there. I would, however, make that suggestion to first timers. If for no other reason than they need to get into the office as soon as they can after entering the park and removing one's clothes would take some time. Also, there will be plenty of time for being naked afterwards.
As for the car keys issue, thankfully, I haven't locked myself out... yet (knock on wood).
Your suggestions are good, but I have another one, I just sew my spare car key (at home) onto my towel (basically, looping the string through the hole at the top of the key a couple of times). I know that I'll always have my towel with me so I won't ever be locked out.
It also depends on the size and atmosphere of the club/park. With me, I know that I can keep my car doors unlocked and windows open without having to worry about somebody stealing my belongings.
As for splitfeather's advice, it's all good.
Just be yourselves and you shouldn't have any problems. Coomon sense, that lost art form, should guide you through all situations. And a couple more things that split forgot to mention to bring: sunscreen and comfortable footwear such as open-toed sandals.
Have fun.

Hi Since I been to two places first time each. They are wonder full. But you most call ahead to make sure who you are and stuff then they will have you set an apointment for a tour around the site. Like everyone said You need hat, suntan lotion, something on your feet. They told about the key problem but if you happen to be in a wheelchair like me then you can tuck your wallet on the inside and on the side of you and your key, I for myself alway sit on a towal. I have a powerchair so I hang my keys on a think wire that is hiden away. But I think most other people r not in wheelchair so this could be go fo a disable nudist. I that I would put my share in. OH have fun and God Bless

If you're a member of AANR, you can buy a wrist pouch from their website store that has velcro on it and fits around your wrist. You can carry yours keys in it as I do. You can wear it into the water, and it won't come off. Be nude and have fun.

Re keys and money, I have just bought a neat item -- a small pouch, just big enough for a key and some money, with a strap that wraps around a sandal strap. It's quite secure and I don't even know that I'm wearing it.

To David77,
As first timers, can my wife at least wear her bikini bottoms until she becomes comfortable with the idea (other than at the pool area, of course)?
