We will be in Israel and then London during July. Has anyone been to any nude beaches or clubs in or near London? We would like to avoid renting a car (driving on the left).

Thanks, I have tried them. I have found one place near London which claims to be accessible by public transportation but they have not answered my email (perhaps since it is winter). There is the beach at Studland which I hear is great but it would take renting a car and I am not sure I want to do that, especially driving on the left. Also, with the pound almost 2-1 the trip is looking to be so expensive, we may eat nothing but scones and need to stay in a real dump.

It might be worth your while checking the GO BARE on-line guides at http://www.gobare.com/info.php . I'm not saying they have everything in them, but they certainly cover many places. People in the forums may be able to help also.

Hi Sunaddicted.
Studland is quite a way out of London, you're looking at least 2 hours travelling by train to the nearest point, maybe more.
The train station at Bournemouth is probably the best, right by the bus station with an hourly service to Studland (or at least it used to be.)
Poole is the nearest station but its then more of a pain to get there.
The nearest beach is Brighton, about an hours train ride, but full of voyeurs, and not sand but pebbles.

Thanks for the information. Do you know of any accessible nudist clubs near London? We have 6 days in London and if the weather if good would like to spend one day without all our clothes.

Sprcifically look at the map at http://www.armage.demon.co.uk/nuff/maps/tq_tv.html and you will see several venues in the London Area.

Hi Sunaddicted,

I live about 40 minutes from London by train - very easy to get out to our place. This may not be what you are after but I'd be happy to spend a day going to Studland with you; we could drive down in my car in about 1.5 hours. I have been down myself on a couple of occasions for a day trip and once with my wife when we were there camping nearby. It really is a great place when the sun's out.

Have a think about it and post again if you are interested.
