I found a website that is a bit interesting in regards to nudity in movies. Just thought I post it to see what the comments are about from everyone here.

LeoNJ: Interesting article. I read it with an open mind (I think I still have it) and the article hit on just about everything pertaining to nudity in the movies. But, I think the article wasn't up to date. Nudity in the movies is almost characterized as having a sexual context to it, meaning, that if a nude was to appear, there is almost a chance there is going to be something sexual is about to happen. As you know, sex sells, so most movies with a sexualy tone to it would be considered a "must see", especially if the nude person is a major movie star. The article was very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I watched Sat Night Live last night, at least the first half, something came on that I wanted to see.
Anyway they had Jennifer Lopez as the host, and man the sexual connotations that went throughout most of the show, was unbelievable. Its like you said sex sells.
The part that gets me is the fact that they are putting sex be it nudity with sexual enuendos or just the jokes or even the connotations about sex on prime time TV. Its getting to a point where I am going to start making copies of Sesame Street so I can watch tv with the kids.
Gotta Go now,
Peace

Wow, on my TV J-Lo was Queen Latifa. More talent, less Affleck.
There is always lots of sexual innuendo on TV (on SNL at least it is for laughs, not just titillation and bad examples). And what little nudity there is on TV, is always sexual.
I saw a movie recently with both nudity and some sexual situations. But the nudity was non-sexual, and (very oddly) related to body acceptance. The sex wasn't actually shown - no nudity. Human Nature was written by Charlie Kaufman, screenwroter of Being John Malkovic and Adaptation.

I find it extraordinary that violence in films generally attracts a lower level of censorship than nudity or sexuality.
Unlike some, I don't believe that exposure to violent behaviour makes one more prone to commit violent acts. However, I think that repeated exposure to violence has the potential to be far more damaging than repeated exposure to nudity or sexuality. Why must we censor out these natural things which are a part of so many people's lives?

simple, nudity should remain hidden because there is no easy way to make huge amounts of money for big-business. if everyone was naked, there would be no need for fancy expensive clothes. now wouldn't that be a shame?!?

The movies should reveal actual life situations as they are from one spectrum to the other. Many families accept casual nudity as the norm and don't even give it a second thought. I know people who are home alone by them selves who shut the bathroom door, and pull the blinds when they go to the bathroom or take a bath [for unknown reasons] Why do most US bathrooms have frosted glass? most windows are almost sholder height, so no one is going to see much unless they make a point of doing so. If there is a second story house next door so it be, and what if there is, no big thing as far as I am concerned, let them look, nothing they havent seen or done before as far as I am concerned. Most non XXX movies show partial nudity as a precurser to sexual activity, then only show upper body or covered sexual activity or motion simulation. I think they should be realistic about nudity and include people nude at leasure, in the hot tub, or just going from room to room or casually being nude as the normal part of getting up each day, or at home anytime as in real life.

nakedgary - don't let the porn industry hear your thoughts, how would they make money if people did not associate nudity with sex???

i agree, someone said to me why do you watch lizzie mcqurie? [i cannot spell anything],and the olsen twins? its for childern. i tell them they keep their clothes on. most movies are at least pg rated because no one will watch them otherwise.
co-workers think i am crazy because of my life style.yet they drool other this trash hollywood cranks out. i love godzilla and other toho studio
movies. if we all went nude --- well hollywood might fold up,godzilla would rule--because he don't need to wear anything.
