I just read the "new article" Gods Desire on the INA home page. While I agree with most of Nates justification and am a Christian I have the feeling that even if all visitors to Naturist resorts and CO beaches were good practicing Christians problems would still arise.Unfortunately following Jesus does not protect us from sinning. Jesus was the only perfect human. We here on Earth will be tempted by voyuerism ,exhibitionism etc and sometimes fall." Let them without sin throw the first stone" I believe Christian Principles are the best way of living in this imperfect world

Outdoorbare, you're right.
Any healthy church contains people who are at various places in their spiritual walk. Some have matured in faith, and are splendid examples of human beings who are spiritually and emotionally healthy. Others have only begun, and haven't yet integrated Christian spirituality into their lives. Some are truly sick and highly dysfunctional.
So it's true: even if everyone at a nudist venue were Christian, there would still be the potential for problems.

I've been a Christian for 39 years since age 17, and I know for a fact that Christians are not perfect--just forgiven! Unfortunately, we still have that old human nature that wants its own way. However, we also have the power of God at our disposal if we will just use it by seeking His wisdom and guidance. Unfortunately, we too often seek our own counsel and do things by our own limited wisdom.
I have met many Christians at different levels of maturity in their Christian walk. Personally I'm one who finds living by faith and trusting very difficult to do. However, my desire is to please God and to become whatever he wants me to be through whatever means He deems necessary to accomplish that goal. However, (I like that word) I often rebel and don't understand why He's doing things the way He is.
A nudist resort full of only Christians would still have it's problems. Without a doubt there would be certain people who they wouldn't allow into the resort. This would probably include divorced people. I'm divorced and was judged harshly by my fellow Christians because of it.

Actually we shouldn't be following Jesus or praticing, we should be abiding IN Jesus, and in Him we are far more than just forgiven! There are several wonderful books I would recommend to you guys,
Of course you already know about the Bible, but you might not know about these great books. They've helped open my eyes to how wonderful God really is, what Jesus did for us (much more than forgiveness) and who I really am as a Christian. It's all in the Bible but my eyes weren't opened to it until I came to the end of myself, and was about to chuck Christianity out! Several of these books helped restore my love for God and helped me truly understand how much He loves us and did for us!
"Lifetime Guarantee" - Bill Gillham
"What God Wishes Christians Knew About Christianity" - Bill Gillham
"Grace Walk" - Steve McVey
"Grace Rules" - Steve McVey
"Grace Land" - Steve McVey
"Classic Christianity" - Bob George
"The Rest of the Gospel" - Dan Stone
"The Normal Christian Life" - Watchman Nee
"Birthright" - David Needham
"Handbook to Happiness" - Charles Solomon
As far as the temptation to sin and nudity, I've always found things such as the bikinis worn at regular beaches and pools to be FAR more tempting then nudity. Yet, far fewer Christians see a problem with going to beaches and pools where swimsuits are worn, than the ones where they are not. But again it's not what's outside us that causes lust or evil thoughts, it's what's inside and Jesus is the answer to that!

Of course I know that we are far more than "just forgiven". I didn't mean that that was all we got from Jesus' sacrifice. I couldn't list all that we got from Him here.
I've said myself that a good looking female body in a skimpy swimsuit is far more sensual than a nude woman. I'm more apt to have impure thoughts at a local beach than at a nudist resort.

Unfortunatly there are many if not most Christians who do not know that they are far more than just forgiven. I was in a church like that this morning. So when I see a statement like Christians aren't perfect - just forgiven, I want to shout, NO - there is so much more to our life in Christ than that!
Christ has freed us from sin's controlling power (Romans 6:7)
We are NOT condemned (Romans 8:1)
We are fully accepted in Christ (Romans 15:7)
We are Saints in Christ (1 Cor 1:2)
Our hardend mind has been removed (2 Cor 3;14)
We are a new creation (2 Cor 5;21)
We are children of God (Galations 4:7)
We are complete in Christ (Colossians 2:10)
Christ express's His Life through us (Colossians 3:3-4)
And so very much more! I meant no disrespect, just wanted to make sure you knew there is so much more in Christ then just forgiveness. My heart rejoices that you do.

Oh yes, Nate, I know how much I got through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Like a criminal at a trial who has been found "Not guilty", I was declared "Justified", cleansed and forgiven (I love that word "forgiven") made a new creature in Christ, placed in the body of Christ, indwelt with the Holy Spirit who guides, directs, teaches and convicts me when I sin or even think of doing so. I have "eternal life" through Jesus Christ, and I am "sealed unto the day of redemption." Eph. 4:30.
The list goes on and on. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour (I like the old spelling) on May 18, 1963. I've been to Bible college and have a degree in Christian education. I've held every position in churches except that of pastor. However, nothing I've done or learned will get me into heaven. Only the shed blood of Jesus Christ can do that. "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins." Col. 1:14. I daily thank and praise God for His Son and all that I've received because of Jesus' sacrifice. I'm a disable Christian nudist and to the world i'm unable to do things, but in Christ Like it says in Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Also I have acetp the fact that we are a new creation and out vail has been lifted up .....should mean our clothes in which covers our shamefulness of sins.... so we should no long be shame of the body. Also I no longer think that i'm a disable person because mentally I'm walking by faith. WE will no long need this body but the body in heaven. I thank God for giving his only begoten son. Hi Nate,
Just read your article...I'm a little behind! I thought it was great and would like to print it out and show it to a friend or two (I'm still half-way in the closet ). With your permission I will do so.
Thanks in advance.
