Hi Daz

This is my first posting also. Just a bit about myself :

I'm 21 and live on Sydney's Northern Beaches. I have a twin brother and a younger sister. My family are naturists and I have grown up with naturism all my life.

My father had a stroke a few days ago and I'm here at home waiting for my turn to visit him at the hospital.

My older brother (6 minutes) is on his way back from the UK to see him.

Take it easy Daz. I'm off for a walk along the beach.

Hi Robin

Thanks for your reply, was really nice of you. I hope you're Dad is OK. I went through something similar a couple of years ago. Let's hope things get better. Please stay in touch and let me know how things turn out. Damn this weather at the moment I went to the beach earlier today thinking if I got a sheltered spot in the sun it would be great....but alas another cold winters day. Oh well. Take care Robin, Hope to read your next posting soon.

RT and Daz: Welcome to the INA forum. I was
just in your beautiful country last November.
I really wanted to visit a few of your nude
beaches but couldn't because I was traveling
in a group and they had other plans.

It's good to have you guys in the mix. INA
wants to come to Australia soon and visit
your famous nude beaches.

RT: Hope your father improves.

Bartamus,
Thanks for the welcome. I hope you make it to Oz. The beaches are beautiful down here and the lifestyle is fairly laid back if you can take the time to relax which can be hard if you've got a heavy itinerary. I've only been to one nude beach so far but hope to explore naturism further this summer. I've just found out about a local swim night I never knew about which is about 20mins from where I live. This is a great sight so I say thanks for that as well. I imagine this site bridges many gaps and unites naturists from a local and a global level.
Take care

Hi Bart & Daz

Thanks for the well wishes, just back from the hospital visiting my dad, he is improving a little every day but very slowly. Casey (my twin bro) has been a great help to the family over the past few days.

Daz, how did you enjoy your first nude beach experience ?

I actually feel a lot more relaxed on a nude beach than in the general public fully clothed. It's hard to explain the feeling.

The only thing that has bothered me over the last summer was when my parents did not attend any of the events or beaches with Casey and I. I had this feeling I was being looked at in a strange way, as to say why are you here. Just a feeling I had but it didn't really bother me that much in the long run.

Pubity was a a tad strange at first but I guess I had it easy with a twin brother experiencing the same things at the same time.

Well I have to grab a shower before dinner. Julie (younger sister) is cooking dinner tonight. She's an OK cook I guess not as good as me (LOL). Casey and I live together in an apartment at Harbord but have moved home for a while to help support each other.

Casey was on vacation in the UK when dad had is stroke.

Thanks once again guys.

Peace to the World

Hi Again Rob,

I know what you mean about feeling more comfortable on a nude beach. When I've been to a clothed beach I feel really restricted by my clothes and swimming is not the same either. I love being naked and swimming, it feels natural and that I'm somehow closer to the earth and nature. I first discovered the local nude beach when I was 17. It was such a great feeling. There was a tremendous sense of freedom for me and I felt an incredible connection with nature. For me I guess it felt a bit like living in a primitive culture where there was no need for clothing and labels. It was definatley an escape from 'everyday' life, just me and nature and any stress left behind. It was a beautiful experience.

About people staring...sometimes I will feel uncomfortable if there are gawkers. Of course people will glance and maybe compare or appreciate the human body and that doesn't worry me as long as it's not excessive.

Good to hear your Dad's still improving too.

Take Care

RT,
Best wishes to you and your family at this trying time and I certainly hope that your father improves completely.
It is wonderfully inspiring to learn about the mutual support that you, Casey and Julie can provide to one another. You state that it was strange that your parents were not at the beach with you both. I hope that it will not be long before you all can enjoy the beach together again.

It just occured to me that possibly one reason people took a long look at you and Casey at the beach is because you and Casey look alike. As you know, twins have a certain admiring facination and for some people, and expecially if they are identical twins. If you were both nude, they were not just comparing the similarities of your facial features, but your entire structure, and the way you both move similarly. This may have become rude of them, and I hope you would not take too much offence. Also, they "should" have envied your youthfulness and vigor. From what you report, there seems to have been no reason why they would resent your being there, so their looking must have been positive instead of negative.

I had a couple of close friends who were twins and I enjoyed their company and comradeship completely. There is certainly a great advantage of being twins.

Daz: Uniting naturists globally is what this
forum and INA are all about. I'm sure you've
explored our website Clothesfree.com.

I would dearly love to get back to
Australia and explore more of your great
country and the nude beaches. Maybe you and
RT could be our Aussie guides when we get
there. Maybe next summer? We'll see

RT: I think David77 may have a point. He is
one of sharper contributors. Glad to hear
your father is improving.
Have you or Daz been to Alexandria Beach
on the Sunshine coast?
