A dream, a vision...
With three children and school about to start up again, I hear the ever so painful words from my loving wife "We need to go clothes shopping for the kids, because schools about to start" Ohhhh, the checkbook is already growning in pain, can we stop the madness?
I didnt think so, so here is my dream, my vision:
A town, that has everything any other town has. Except for one thing perhaps: Clothing stores, and if you have no clothing stores, you have no clothing you have no clothes, I offer to you my vision A clothes free town.
It would be awesome.
and one of the best things, is is that my wife wouldnt come to me and say: I went clothes shopping for the kids and spent $350.00, but I saved $25.00 because they were on sale."
Oh well I just thought I would share my vision with you and see what you thought...oops, I gotta go now mama's telling the kids to get ready to go, I think we are heading to walmart for their back to school clothing speacial
Peace for now all,

Clothes Free towns and communities have been attempted, and the only one that has been semi successful is Cape D'Agde in France, which is half clothing optional and half not.
The problem that most attempts run into is the fact that no man, or community is truly an island, and unless you are completely self sufficient (i.e. you have farmers and ranchers that grow your food supply, grocers, suppliers and retailers to sell that food (and other items needed in communities) you have to rely on outside sources. To do that, you have to allow commerce with outside, clothed communities, and this means roads, interstates, highways, etc. That means state intervention. The list goes on.
Your best bet is a clothing optional community that offers a small grocery store (mom and pop kind of thing) and s private school where the uniform of the day is 'birthday suits'. I understand that there are some walled communities in Florida that offer those kinds of amenities.
Otherwise, it's a nice dream! I'm dreaming it too!

Really, the idea of a C/O city or town isn't too far removed from reality. Laws regarding public indecency are not only made at the state level, but also the local level.
Now I am not sure about the red tape in certain states, but I would think that if a group of nudists gained a majority on some town or city council, they could simply reword the appropriate laws so that simple nudity would become legal.
Another thing, which would have to preceed the election, would be for a large group of nudists, not just seniors, but young families and singles, to decide on a location to establish such a presence and choose to become active in their nudism and local politics. Creating businesses that cater to the nudist crowd would be easy but schools would pose a harder sell with the state licensing rules to dance around.
It is a somewhat realistic dream, though not feasible at this time.

That is why I suggest a private school...where once you get licensed, you can dictate the uniform and local rules and regulations without state interference. All they concern themselves with from then on is test scores.

I knew that I wouldn't be the only one with that dream. Thank you for your post.

It is truly a wonderful dream. And a group of Christians are trying to make it happen in Florida. For more information, visit http://www.naturist-christians.org.
If you're not Christian and you still want it to happen, maybe you can band together with some friends or create an Internet group to discuss how you can live your dream.
