The original title is Toccata and Fugue in D minor. It is a piece of organ music believed to be composed by Johann Sebastian Bach sometime between 1703 and 1707. It is one of the most famous works in the organ repertoire, and has been used in a variety of popular media ranging from film, to video games, to rock music, and ringtones. I cannot explain why I like this piece so much. It is a difficult piece to play. It involves full concentration for your right and left hands on key board, right and left feet on pedal, if you play it on pipe organ. I chose this piece as my final piece. It took me all semester to practice this piece.

As music students, each of us is assigned to have a private practice room to be used according to the given schedule. The room is nothing but a 9 x 10 feet square. It is either a piano or organ instrument in the room. Sometimes it is a bench to put your stuff, nothing else. The door of the room has a small glass window so people can see in or out.

It doesn't take a lot of imagination that I would cover up that small window and practice in the nude. It is the best nude time while practicing / playing the organ. I mean the musical organ. I did it in my practice room but never on stage in the big auditorium until one day:

20th December was the last day of school. Most of the students had gone home for Christmas break. I walked out from the my practice room and passed by the auditorium. It was close to midnight. The auditorium doors were still unlocked. It is locked at midnight usually.

Before I knew, I was sitting in the auditorium starring at the organ on the stage. The whole auditorium was dark except a dimmed light spotted to the organ.

It was midnight. I heard the doors were locked. None could enter but if you were inside you still could go out. Suddenly I was thinking how nice if I could play the Toccata and Fugue in the nude.

I walked up to the stage. Within minutes I was bare naked and played that piece. There is no words I can use to explain my free feeling playing that piece in the nude on stage. My hands, legs and body were so free moving along the key board, pedal and bench. I could feel the air from the organ breezes my whole body skin. It was so great.

I did it. I played it in the nude. After that, I walked out free like never before.

Thanks to Johan Sebastian Back who wrote that piece.
