    While I was liftin weights with clothes on, they got in the way, and I ended up straining myself. Moral of the story, clothes are bad.

      ..or maybe your form was off, you weren't warmed up enough, the weight was too heavy, or you lacked a spotter.

      Moral of the story, blame the wrong thing and you could repeat the injury.

        I was doing bicep curls when the dumbell caught my shorts and got stuck and I pulled up to fast, hurting myself.

          talk about bad form...
          and obviously unsuitable shorts..
          If I have to wear shorts, I prefer stretch cotton/lycra bike shorts - next best thing to being nude in that situation (i.e. sharing a gym' with other clothed people..).

            Now I know why I was told a long time that it is important to lift SLOWLY.

              Would any part of the "clean and jerk" term be applicable here? Lucky you didn't catch on your waistband draw string, coulda strangled.
