The authorities should have also sent her to a shrink for evaluation. Did she really think she could go outside for a smoke, and open the door of a pressurized jet passenger aircraft at 25 to 37,000 feet above ground level flying at +500 miles per hour?

NG, did you read the whole article?

I don't think one can really blame the woman -- enough hours in a jetliner can make anyone lose their mind whether one is predisposed to sleepwalking or not.

What I really like are stories about conscious people, and conscious organizations, who prove that Monty Python is not so much a satire, but a documentary, of society.

Now I like shopping at Home Depot, and I'm sure any big corporation can equally goof up, but this story is a gem. Here the one about the carpenter who, after buying $117 of wood, was charged by store authorities for "stealing" a clerk's pencil:

Too bad they couldn't just let her try it, would lose another smoker and a lifetime's worth of cigarette fumes in our atmosphere. We could've given her a darwin award too. But I suppose it would inconvenience the other passengers as the air would suddenly become very thin .

Either she was sleepwalking or that was one heck of a drunken stupor.

Several years ago I was on a Southwest Flight when the Flight attendent anounced this was a smoking flight but you must step outside. Guess some take remarks serious.

Sergeon Generals warning: Do Not attempt to smoke outside a plane when in flight - may cause serious injuries or death. Let alone the deaths of other passengers and crew!

                            LOL, Jr.

Ketchum no offense to you but I thought I would answer your PM here. I am a Blonde and I take no offense at the fact Blonde jokes have Blondes as dumb. In fact I know quite a few Blondes who are just dingy enough to try and walk out of an airplane at 36,000. Quit trying to be TOO PC as that other thread is suggesting. Being PC is offensive!

                              Anyway was she Blonde?
