[Aviation Community Photo Album #2 [Continued]

Everyone seems to like aviation related pictures and information. This album continues from an "Air Restrictions" nude humor topic/thread as navigation, additions, and deletions are much easier in a community photo album.

Due to recent security restrictions on some transportation and aviation photography, it’s much harder to get candid, unusual, and funny shots. Enjoy and share what's been recorded by others in the past and present, and participate if you find something aviation related.

Notice: Do not remove URL/Web addresses or site references on or in images, or copyright or original author or photographers names when re-posting images from other public web sites. If from a joke site with a URL/address make sure that site doesn’t have objectionable, adult, or sexually explicit images, links, or sub-links.

    Enjoy..."NakedGary"

Nice collection Gary. Aviation has always appealed to me. I've been to air shows and find them a rush.

Two of the shots are death in the sky, though, and maybe shouldn't be labeled as fun & humor: 6th row, 2nd shot and 9th row middle shot... air show disasters.

And what is 1st row, 2nd shot? Is that a collision or air-to-air combat? It's wild.

Both are amazing shots and fine examples of high speed photography and framing.

Do you have/can you find the photo of TWA 800 reassembled in a hangar? I remember it featured on one of the news weekly mags a few years back. It was quite something the way they found and refit the pieces.

Quick story: We have an Air Nat'l Guard wing of A-10 Warthogs in CT. A few weeks ago we were out at Berkshire Vista in western MA and 4 of them came in and looped around the campground. Checking out the nudists while on a training run. HA!

Album #2 is a continuation of Album #1 so I will re-title it]

        It does say "Mishaps"

Aviation, just like any transportation medium is dangerous, but safer than driving your car.

Pilots in national occupations have a higher death rate than most jobs after logging, and a few others.

          Mike S

At Laguna del sol a member and airline captain fly's his personal helicopter from the East Bay area directly to the resort.

The military, news helicopters and fixed wing aircraft, California Highway Patrol, and Sheriff come by often and low enough to check out the resort & its grounds.

Several members and guests fly private aircraft and land at the Rancho Murrieta general aviation airport about 10 miles or a few minutes away by automobile.

This is at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, about two miles from where I live.

I tried posting this in the gallery but was unsuccessful:

It was already on as #36

It's the cockpit view of Earth from the Space Shuttle Atlantis and is what I use as my background.

It was too big [over 200KB] I resized it and they are both on now.

Thanks NG, I had a feeling the size was probably the problem. Sorry to duplicate #36, I was hoping a thumbnail version would show up but it was the regular sized one instead.
