  • Ok, you figure it out, I give up!

It is well-known that Saudi Arabia still prohibits women from driving cars (or riding in them unless accompanied by a male relative), but an Associated Press dispatch from Riyadh reports on Female automobile salespeople (who are very successful in selling to other females, who CAN own a car as long as SOMEONE ELSE drives).

Also, AP reports that a holding company owned by Saudi Prince Alwaleed ibn Talal hired a female pilot for one of its jets. The woman, Captain Handi Zakariya Hindi, flies with no restrictions but still requires a male relative to get her to and from the airport!

    Nackt:

What's the problem? We American males have always understood that women are not up to our level when it comes to driving. The Saudi's have apparently legally recognized this by prohibiting them from being on the roads without us.

As to flying, we all know that you don't have to parallel park a plane!

i used to think that women were just as good at driving as men, it's just that they can't PARK a car.

until i started driving a delivery truck, that is. i spend about 1000 or 1200 miles a week on the pavement, and i've noticed that whenever i get frustrated enough with a driver to start chewing them out through the windshield - it's always a woman in the driver's seat. well, either that or a man in his eighties. or the car has arkansas license plates. or veteran license plates. but, yeah, put a middle-aged soccer mom behind the wheel and hand her a cell phone, and traffic will be backed up for miles.

is it safe to come out? is everyone done throwing things at me? i had better point out that my wife is a better driver than i am. she still can't drive in reverse, but i probably acquired that talent from my experience driving a forklift. many, many women are fantastic drivers. all i'm saying is....well, i guess that the worst of the women are worse than the worst of the men. elderly buick-driving arkansas veterans excluded.

The drivers I enjoy the most are,
The guys that flip me off while they are risking our lives trying to pass me on a too busy stretch of road. Only to find them 2 cars ahead of me at the stop light 10 or 20 miles later.

People need to chill out on the highways. If you don't like your drive home from work. Move closer to your job.
