Whats the big deal with Janet Jackson's breast coming uncovered in the Super Bowl halftime show? I didn't think it was such a big deal until i saw all the news conferences and apologies a few hours later...other than that the Super Bowl stunk. The Carolina Panthers were destined to win....anyways answer bak on the Janet Jackson issue....

Certainly wasn't much to look at.........must have been done for 'shock' value". I don't believe it helps our cause as the general public will think we just want to 'expose' ourselves. It's obvious that this was a planned stunt. The busterier had snaps and it was plainly seen that Timberlake reached over and pulled it off as he finished the last line of the song:"I willhave you naked by the end of the song". Interesting how quickly the lights went down and there seemed tobe plenty of cameras available to take all the shots that popped up.

It's not a big deal, IMHO. But it's interesting that it's being made a big deal by the media. Also, it was obviously done to, uh, titillate (sorry). So it reinforces the message that all nudity = sex.

This wasn't an accident. MTV (they sponsored halftime) declared prior that, "There are some shocking moments in there too.". Though they later claimed they meant the arrival of Justin Timberlake. You bet.

And if Janet wasn't expecting someone to see her breast why was she wearing a pasty? Hello? Please don't lie to us Jackson. Just admit it was planned.

So the FCC is on the warpath against the evil boob shot. Of course had it involved vulgar cuss words instead that would have been OK. Or if she had realistically portrayed violence that would have been just fine. Then it would have been perfect for family hour according to the FCC.

I, personally, do not have a problem about the Jackson/Timberlake episode, but I think it was inappropriate for that to happen during a Super Bowl half time show. Everybody watches the super bowl, dads, moms, kids, relatives, etc. For this to happen, especially knowing that MTV sponsored the event, is a disgrace. It's episodes like that, that gives the nudist movement a bad reputation.

This years half time show was the worst ever. It's not that I don't particularly like that kind of music, but it's a prime example of what our kids are listening to these days. What ever happened to good ole rock and roll? Todays lyrics are very suggestive, more so than in the past. The show yesterday was a prime example. I believe that MTV will have major changes, along with CBS and Viacom, whom are in the same family. By the way, it has been announced that MTV will no longer sponsor any more NFL related events.

MTV simply stepped over the line this time. They should be held accountable, even though they (MTV) were not aware of the plans that Jackson and Timberlake already had. And, yes it was planned. Why else would Janet wear a star over her nipple? You want to talk about censorship. I'm sure we haven't even started to see anything yet.

Could this give the nudist movement a black eye? You bet. I'm sure Rep. Foley has already made his phone calls. Here we are trying to take a stand for Nude Youth Camps, and all of a sudden something like this happens. It just added more wood in the fire for those who are against these camps.

            Sorry. Had to vent.

I immediately tuned to another channel when that garbage came on. Missed it all.

They didn't show the streaker, just talked about him. Later, I saw a pic of him. Real chicken. He had a thong on.

Ladies and Gentlemen: You need to keep in touch with reality. All national news networks reported (later) that this incident was "staged", as we say in the business, and was done for "your enjoyment". It's "fixed" situations, such as this one, that proves the media and the public to be fools.

I'm with y'all on this. You see more nudity on TV each day than was seen at the half time show. Or go to any beach during warm weather. Sure it was planned, but I definitely feel the media is blowing it all out of proportion. What harm could it do anyone to see Jacksons boob or the "almost" streaker? It didn't last that long to begin with.

I sure wish more people could keep things in perspective like that.
Leave it to someone from Miami to keep an open mind.
That's why I like it there.
