Just finished reading a piece on a study conducted on how males and females view nude photos.
As you might have expected, males and females view nude photos differently.
What is a stunning surprise is that males look at the face(s) first before looking at the rest of the body of the photo's subjects ... now who would have thought that! (actually, I would have, as that is what I do, but stereotypes are stereotypes after all).
What is the other surprise from the study is that females look at the rest of the body before looking at the face(s) of the photo's subjects.
Now, are you ready for the REAL SHOCKER?
The study timed the amount of time males and females viewed nude photos and the study found that female spend longer looking at nude photos than males do (even moreso when the photos depicted actual sexual acts, i.e., porn), so much for stereotypes.
If you want to read the piece you can go to LiveScience at their website and click to the piece dated April 12, 2007 under the Health/SciTech heading.
(I will provide the direct URL via PM as the website discusses all matter of science, including biology and sex --- sorry no pictures --- and I am not sure a direct link is allowed under the current TOS of these forums.)
Oh, and for the naysayers, the study used directional headpieces which recorded where the eyes were focused in the same manner that has been used to test where drivers eyes are focused when driving.
