    Please Help

    Hi Everyone,

    This is a wonderful site... I'm hoping you can all give me a hand as well.

    I have built a site, totally free of ads of any kind, with some fun features for people to use. I have a forums area, postcards, an automated Links database, photo albums, and some other great features...

    I have built the site simply because I wanted to creat a place that people would find fun and useful... And that's it.

    One of the main features of the site is the forum area, but it has not yet become a busy place as not too many people know about it.

    Here is where you might come in. Please visit my site and take a look around, and then please give me some feedback if you can.

    If there is something you'd like to see added, let me know. Or perhaps you have a topic you'd like to see added in the forums. I can't add a visible nudist area because of the rules of my hosting company, but I can add one that isn't visible to the public but that people will be given access to..

    Any help and feedback is appreciated.

          Nudipants: Your site is very attractive and has lots of useful features.

          May I ask how you constructed it -- i.e. what software did you use? And how much time it took you to build it? And how experienced are you as a website developer?

          The only suggestion that I would make is that it is quite impersonal. You give no idea of the person behind it. I think that the site would be more appealing if you included some information about yourself.

          Maybe include a nude photo as well ...


          ... Only kidding.

            Hi Gary Naturist,

            The site is created with quite a variety of software - it would take me quite a while to explain how it was put together. Each feature is a different CGI or PHP script that I've customized for the site. I didn't take the time to write all the code. Much of it is free software available for use by the general public. If you have any specific questions let me know and will let you know. You can also always post a question in the forums of the site.

            I used to have a little web design company - so I am fiarly experienced. I am not an expert in any one part, but have a very good grasp on many different aspects.

            As for making it personal... Yes, that's an idea. It didn't really think of it as a personal site as much as a general site that people could enjoy without knowing me in any way... But I could put more informationa bout myself in the "About the site" section.

              You have done a good job, and your web pages are interesting and hold your attention. Congratulations, well done!

              Why does your ISP/Host restrict nude or nudist/naturist images being posted on your web pages. True nudist or naturist photographs or images in no way fall into the category of adult or sexual explicit areas ?

              From your "Nick or user name" and posting to the INA Form, & nude image of you in your profile that your are a nudist or naturist.

              I would be very intrested to know how to establish a private or protected or membership area where one could post nudist travel or personal nudist or naturist images for friends or to other nudist to share with.

              I am also intrested to know how to establish or make a simple web page using a 3d rotating cube with images thats interactive such as: http://members.tripod.com/~lionsgate/java14.html and: http://javaboutique.internet.com/3DPhotoCube/ and any host that would give me space for posting or working on this peronal project or home page.

              Thanks for any information or links you could provide in getting me started. I do have a registered 2002 version of Microsoft Front page, and Office XP professional which can encode most graphic and image or text into html web page format i believe.

              Any tips or comments would be appreciated

                On the topic of Adult content, I could probably get around this if I pushed the issue... The other part of this is that the web site I have designed is visible to all those people that I know and work with, and this in itself can cause some problems. I have no shame about being a nudist, but not everyone understands, and I don't think the publicity would be a good move for me right now [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img]

                As for passwords and limiting user access... There are several ways to do it... in the case of my forum software, the system allows for permissions. When you log into the site, you'll see many forum topic areas, however, there are twice as many in the background that I have setup for groups of my users. I have friends areas, a nudist area, family chat area, etc....

                If you are not using software, you have to modify a file called .htaccess. Because it is a lengthy explanation, I have posted it on the tedora.com forums for you under a new category called Technical Web Design Questions. Take a look. Hopefully it helps you...

                As for the spinngin cube, both the links you gave me have instructions included, and shouldn't require a unique type of hosting... Though if you give me your requirements I can suggest hosting for you, or at least what you should look for. Send me a message or post one on the tedora.com site and we can continue the "tutorial" there..

                  Well I just got tired of my hosting company not allowing me to host a nude site... and so, here we go, I've found a host, registered a domain name, and built my own nudist/naturist site aimed at Canadians...
