  • Website to upload PowerPoint files.

Is there any websites where I can upload a PowerPoint File? Something similar to Photobucket for images. Photobucket doesn't recognise PowerPoint extentions.

The file I have is something I would like to post in the humor section.

    Thanks

An entire presentation or individual slides?

All I can think of is to convert the slides to .PDFs, or if Photobucket won't accept those either (I've never used it), then do a screen grab of each slide and save the results as JPEGs.

The problem, Bill, is that people would need to have PowerPoint software or the PowerPoint Viewer software on their computer in order to open the file, and not everyone has the software.

It might be possible to include the PP Viewer with the file so people could view the presentation. Worth a try. Anybody know for sure if that is possible?

Probably not legal unless Microsoft gives you permission to distribute it.

If you have a web site, you should be able to upload a Powerpoint presentation. Add a link to the web page and it will be available to those with Powerpoint. If it is available online you can like to it without using up your bandwidth. If you use the Pack n Go feature, you are given an option to include the viewer. Perhaps this is the best bet.

OpenOffice will display powerpoint presentations - or any other Microsoft Office document.

OpenOffice can be downloaded for free from OpenOffice.org

PowerPoint Viewer is a free download from Microsoft.

There are a number of free file hosting sites where your Powerpoint files can be made available for downloading. They usually contain advertising and some system to slow down and regulate bandwidth use by non-paying visitors.
