How many know that a life long nudist invented the Lava Lamp?

How many know that the novel that spawned the movie and TV series of the same name---In The Heat Of The Night was written by a life long nudist?

So just what have been the achievements of nudists throughout history? Let us compile a listing here for all to see.

And leave us not forget that 'shockingly' curious kite flying 'discoverer' of electricity, Benjamin Franklin was an avid "air bather" (18th century-speak for nudist).

I know there is more, so who and what are they?

There was a novel in the "Heat of the Night" series called "The Cool Cottontail".

But - Dr. Charles Richter - the inventor of the Richter scale - seismologist - was believed to have been a nudist.

lurk, you just reminded me that Mr. Ball's 'novel' was in reality a series.

      Thank you.

I must remember that bound edition I have is the series in one binding.

I do believe Dr. Richter was a nudist as well at least everyone I have spoken to about it thinks so with 99% certainty.

I'm not 100 percent certain on this one but I think the first nudist resort was invented by a nudist. :P:P:P

The novel/murder mystery was called "Cotton Tail Murder," I believe.
