Thanks for finding this photo, missouriboy. Looking at it brings back memories of my many trips to Paris and the infinite Kodak moments. Being a hobbyist photographer, I am now curious what kind of camera and film or digital media was used to record the image.

Paris Hilton cannot be seen in this photo. Isn't that awesome?

          Great photo.

The angle of the view reminded me of the view from the top of my apartment when I lived there as a high school student.

I visited Paris when I was stationed in Germany. Very beautiful city. But I have never seen Paris at night. That was a great "tour". Thanks for sharing with us.

Was I the only one looking for people in the windows?

Very beautiful, I wish someday to visit.

Very beautiful from one end to the other. It's the only way I will ever see Paris.

Thanks for sharing that with us. It is fabulous. And that's why Paris is called the "City of Light". I've been there once, I'd like to go back.

I don't know if this is what's used for this, NudistGuy47, but I do recall seeing an article in Sports Illustrated, where Kodak built a 360 degree camera. Very, very old. Before 1920. It was like a round hatbox. It sat on a tripod, and you wound it up with a key. When you pressed the shutter, the camera lens would rotate on a swivel and make a 360 degree loop.

I vaguely remember reading that there were something like six of these left in the world, and Kodak was going to stop making the film for it, but relented.

I'll look on the web and report back if I learn anything. Obviously it might be easier to do today with digital technology.

                          Here's an interesting site =

                          http://www.panoramicphoto.com/timeline

The concept, when used with film, is a ca,era with something called a "traveling slit shutter" -- (don't say it too fast or you will say some bad words).

I would think today's digital technology trumps it, but the site is interesting to read.

By the way, I'm an amateur photographer. I have never done nude photography (except for a brief session at Eastover) -- but nude figure photography is probably one of the most difficult things to do.

I enjoy scenic things, cityscapes, casual family pix (clothed!) , and sports.

I own four cameras - two film ones - a Canon SureShot z155, which I absolutely love for snapshots, it's just so easy, and a Canon AE-1 35MM, fully restored, and I have around 15 slide wheels, and enough film for several more.

Two digital ones - a Sony Mavica which I've had for around six-seven years - the one that uses diskettes. It's actually quite handy. And a Canon Digital Rebel.

Thank God. I too was afraid the link was going to take me to a photo of miss Hilton.

Here's a skyline that looks like it came from Futurama.
