  • Awesome, visit clothesfree.com from work!!!

I ran accross this site http://www.proxy-demon.com. It is a web proxy server that lets you surf the internet anonymously and securly. This means you can access the clothesfree forums from your work computer or anywhere where you normally couldn't.

      No you can't.

Anonymizers may shield your IP address when you request information packets over the internet, so they can prevent someone on the internet from backtracking to your computer, but your ISP (or your employers ISP) will still be able to see what it being sent to you. And many corporations monitor internet activity on their local networks, sometimes down to screen displays and keystrokes on individual machines, an anonymizer isn't going to prevent that.

An anonymizer proxy may get you past a firewall filter that your employer uses to block access to certain websites, but it will not protect you from discovery.

If there are sites you shouldn't visit from a work computer, just don't visit them - you have NO legal right to privacy on a work computer, and probably no security from surveillance.

And that violation, will likely get you fired, first offense, I have known of it to happen at my company and others, so Be careful and sensible. It can wait until you get home.

Take it from someone who thought they were taking every possible precaution in visiting nudist sites (this one in particular) from work...and still ended up getting fired over it, in a fairly humiliating kind of way..

I've recovered quite well from it, but still: Just stay away from nudist sites when at work, no matter who says it's ok.

I'm an IT manager at my company and I agree with Naturist Mark on this one. Your company can see everything you do.

We have a log file of every web address that employees visit. We can also view anyone's screen from our own PC. We can bring it up at any time without them knowing about it.

We can also view their sent and received e-mails. And, with approval from the head of IT (which isn't hard to get), we can view their "personal" file folders.

When you do anything at work, just imagine that your boss, the head of IT, and the CEO are all looking over your shoulder, because they probably are. If they wouldn't have a problem with the site or e-mail that you're looking at, you should be fine. Otherwise, save it for home viewing.

            Stay nude.

Yep, I believe that's the way it is at my current job (330 days to retirement) -- And, the way it was at my last job.

I work for the County, and the IT personnel continously monitors computer usage within the County. Over the years. there have been some employees (ex-employees) who have gotten caught viewing sites that they thought were safe.

As stated, it's better off to wait to get home than risk getting fired. Also stated, since the computers are company owned, you have no recourse as far as invading privacy. They have every right to gain access to their network.

Also don't give out your work e-mail address to friends that send you non work related e-mails.

You must pass this along to at least 37 of your closest friends within 3 minutes or your computer will blow up. For real!
