  • Happy Halloween!

Hey everybody. I'm back on here again after solving some more computer trouble. I think it's time for me to get a new tower! Anyway, I would like to wish you all a Happy Halloween along with your families and dear close friends. For those of you who have little ones, including grandchildren, may they all have a fun and safe time and get lots of treats and goodies! Be careful to watch out for those little ones if you are driving anywhere at night. Take care and have fun!

Hope you had a great Halloween. We had the entire family over, but not too many trick or treaters. The local churches, malls/shopping centers had things going on, so that may have taken away the "goulies". Now we have an abundance of candies that have to be "cleaned up", lol

Hello nudeM. You know something? That is becoming more the trend on Halloween night now. Meaning churches are having fall or holy festivals, and malls and shopping centers are putting on events which are alternatives to the traditional trick-or-treating that we grew up with. Apparently, that is becoming more dangerous and risky. This is a crying shame because it has been a tradition that has gone on for many years which children have enjoyed as did we. It seems that more people are discouraging their children from trick-or-treating and turning to the alternative activities mentioned. How sad! I gave a lot of my extra candy to my neighbors who have children. I live in a gated condominium complex. We have quite a few children who live here. But I think a lot of the parents took them to the alternative functions that we discussed. I had almost no trick-or-treaters at all. I'll find a way to get rid of my leftover candy without throwing it in the trash. Next year I just won't buy as much since I know it is isn't practiced as much!

We were onboard a flight home from Hawaii! We missed Halloween altogether! Got home around 12:30 am. One daughter's neighborhood was a bust ... not many homes lit and giving out treats. The other daughter's neighborhood was jammed packed with kids and cars from outside the area! Our neighborhood is usually pretty busy but since we weren't home this Halloween, we're not sure if it lived up to it's previous year's activity. Belated Happy Halloweenie!
