We are going to Germany for Oktoberfest (Sept 9th -25th) Does anyone know of clothing optional places to stay in Bavaria. We will be traveling between Munich and the Black Forest.

Munich has its famous English Garden, with one large section that is clothing-optional. It's used by everyone -- families, office workers, tourists, etc.

Recently, use of the c-o section has declined somewhat, and the city authorities are concerned, because it's a major tourist draw for them.

Germans are perhaps the most enthusiastic group of nudists worldwide. You should have no trouble finding places to be nude there.

My two favorite nudist stories from Germany are about:
      - the group who went swimming nude in the Isar River (flows past the English Garden) then rode back nude on the U-Bahn (subway), with no complaints about their nudity.
      - the gentleman who has cycled nude for hundreds of kilometers through the German countryside, occasionally passing through small towns, with only positive reactions.

See the following web site which lists the resorts in Germany, and also for all other European countries.
