I am going to Negril Beach in JUly. I know the beaches are nude at adult resorts (Hedonism, etc), but I have heard parts of the public beaches are also nude. Is this true, if so where? Can you go onto the adult resorts if not a guest there?

NCman, We were in Negril in February. It is a beautiful place and would go back in a heartbeat!

We stayed at Beaches Sandy Bay because we went to attend a wedding. Although there was no nudity there, it was wonderful!!! We walked along the beach from our resort to Beaches Sandy Bay and the Couples resort. There were stretches along the way where people were nude. It seemed to be quite alright. I also understand there is a place called Firefly cottages or similar where nudity is okay.

      Have a great trip!

The resort next to GNL has a nude sunbathing area. The people there walk nude thru the beach to the ocean. The ajoining beach areas are much, much more textile (read slightly topless). That's my experience based on one visit last year.

Just go ahead and stay at Hedo II , it is not the place you think. It is the most fun, relaxing , friendliest place I have ever been . The places I have been in the USA have been stressful and not single guy friendly, rude people, and I felt like I was being watched all the time as a single guy. In Jamaica it is laid back , no worries and no one watching a single guys every move. You go , you will go again, Jamaica is my second home.

Gone to Jamaica's port back in November. Stay away from shopping area. Their were many beggers. It scared my wife and we turned around and headed back onto the ship. Oh well, wish you luck.

                This is certainly true.

The problem with Hedo is that it attracts "Groups" that can be very hostile to single men. So it is not safe to say that you won't be watched or treated unfairly. It very much depends on who is there at the time.

Jamiaca is certainly a very nice place and I intend to go again. But as far as being naturist friendly I'd say it is a mixed bag. The resorts can be nice but you don't get the advantage of a really large and open beach. Further one can't ignore the crime.

On the good side the people are extremely friendly. The island in places is beautiful and the food isn't to bad. Ohh and you can drink the water. I might even make it this year, wanted to last year but the economics just weren't there. A week in Jamaica can really make 8 months of winter more bearable.

I have been to alot of so called " naturist " resorts in the USA, you talk about Hedo as having " groups" made me laugh. All the resorts I've been to have had "groups" The redneck trashy resort in north Georgia is the worst. I will never go anywhere else to be nude . Jamaica is my second home. The highly regulated NANR is a joke to single guys.

                      Negril in Jamaica

Apart of Hedonism I konw only the KeyPoint Village that has a beach dedicated to nudism.
Keypint is very close to Hedo, I think no more that 100 meters.
I front of the two places there is an lettle island where I saw many people nude.
