In general - in case anyone knows or in case Mr. Roche is readin - what, if any, is WTP's attitude toward same-gender couples? I visited WTP once and it seemed like everyone was really nice but I just am not sure if two guys who are obviously together would cause any kind of controversy. I am assuming "no" but gimme your thoughts... thanks

I believe he would just treat a male-male couple as two guys and apply that to the gender ratio. As to the membership, I doubt you could do it under the family/couples rates. But you could try membership under the singles with guest priveledge. That is $575/year. It would still reqire you to call in advance if you wanted to bring your SO.

This is only speculation. Although I am a member, I do not speak for White Tail. Contact them for more info.

I've been researching club policies and about half of them that have couples rates do allow same sex couples to get that discount.

I suppose WTP wants to maintain a family setting so the limitations and call aheads will curb same sex couples or groups from becomming predominant. I can understand that but is a shame that is so very hard for single males or coupled males to attend.

Would be great for other clubs or non landed groups to form here in Va. I do know of one here in Richmond, RANG, but that is pretty much defunct now.

As a very long time member of WTP, I can assure you that Bob Roche is one of the greatest club owners that I have ever run across. One of the staff at WTP is 1/2 of a same sex couple who has a permanent residence on WTP grounds. Bob does not discriminate whatsoever with regards to age, sex, gender, or marital status, religious affiliation, etc. If anyone is interested, you may want to make plans to join us at White Tail Park next summer. WTP is this year's (2006) host club for the AANR East convention. Check the WTP website for more information as it becomes available.

Unless someone is on a "do not admit" list, single males or same sex couples have no problem visiting WTP. To suggest otherwise is not only disingenuous, it is extremely unfair to the park and it's owners and members. Are you on some "do not admit" list and have some other axe to grind?

There aren't realy any groups in southeastern Virginia either. I keep toying with the idea that we could have a clothing optional beach in Virginia Beach. The two areas I think of are Back Bay just past the lighthouse in Sandbridge or at Chesapeake Beach right there at First Landing State Park.
