Blue lake or ponderosa

We live half way between Ponderosa sun club in Indiana, and BLue Lake resort near Erie, IL. We ar eplanning on taking the kids camping this weekend, and need help deciding which club... anyone have any experience with these clubs?

Blue Lake is an AANR and TNS approved family resort. Ponderosa Sun Club is not. Whether that is good enough reason to prefer one over the other is debatable, but not by me.

The Ponderosa Sun Club in Indiana (which features the vulgar Nudes-a-Poppin pagent twice a year and not a good influence) is near Lake O' The Woods Club in Valparaiso Indiana which you could go to. The pool at Lake O' The Woods Club is not as big and the camping may possibly be on an open field, but the total place at Lake O' The Woods is quite beautiful.

Better yet, you could go to Union City in southern Michigan to the very nice Turtle Lake Resort.

Since you are bringing children with you I think Blue Lake is the best place to go because there are many young people. Everytime we have been at Blue Lake there has been lots of activities for the children and teens and the club takes pride and watches over the younger members of their club. If you like Volleyball, Blue Lake is also the place to go.

Nudes-a-Poppin event is held once a year 16 July 2006 and 15 July 2007.
