Bare Valley is NOT in Unionville Center,OH. That is just a PO Box address that is not even near the camp. Probably the home town of one of the owners or managers - Unionville Center is about 10 miles east of Columbus. The camp itself is located in the Hocking Hills of SE Ohio about 50 miles southeast of Columbus.

Bare Valley is located several miles outside of Logan, Ohio which is 50 miles southeast of Columbus along Rt. 33.
The last time i was there was in '03.It seemed very nice but small. They have very friendly people there and will treat you well during a visit. The one nice thing they have is a in-ground heated pool and at night they have fiber optic lights that surround the pool area.

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to update for anyone landing here from a search engine, etc..
This is Bare Valley's new website (apparently):
BareValley.com ... though the geocities site is still online, it looks like the BareValley.com site is more up to date.
And yes, Nudebuckeye, Summit Lodge is a different resort, also in the Logan area. I've heard better things about Bare Valley, depending on the type of place you like.

I don't know if they're still open or not. I've never been there myself, though it's probably only 45 minutes from here. Of course you probably have their website. So I don't know much about the place. I did speak to a woman once who she felt the place was more gay-oriented and that her and her boyfriend felt not as welcome as they should have been... but like I said I haven't been there myself yet. I hear Bare Valley has some good trails and that they want people to socialize a little and not just come and hide off in the trails. I haven't been there yet either (I refuse to pay the $30-something fee to step into the place).

Be aware that Summit Lodge is not affiliated with AANR or TNS, and caters to the "Lifestyle" trade (swingers).

Ok new to this board, but I just want to answer a few questions that have been raised about Summit Lodge Resort on this thread and others. The last time I was there was back in '02 and the owner was selling everything including the property. He had all kinds of furniture, and junk scattered throughout the front yard like a yard sale type display. I went a few times, maybe less than a handful a year prior to this and vowed I would never go bach. The place was crummy, run down, and basically had gone to hell. There were maybe a total of about 5 or 6 guys there on the days that I went and they were all walking around like a bunch of creepy zombies. On other weekends you might find 2 or 3 couples, but all in all It never seemed like a big money maker at the time. I'm sure back in the day SLR was booming w/business, and plenty in attendence but not anymore. But, if this place still does exist, which I doubt, don't go, and don't let the website fool ya. Half those services they offer on their website wasn't even avalable back then! (6 yrs ago) Later.
