My wife and I stopped at Rock Lodge a few years ago when we lived only a few miles away from them. It's a beautiful place and the people we met we very welcoming and friendly. We would have returned, but life got in the way and we eventually moved from NJ. Still would like to go back for another visit.Comment

To clarify a bit further, with regard to membership the club does attempt to maintain somewhat of a balance between single men and women.

as a member of Rock lodge,I can tell you that the club gets full but not too crowded. There are two entry areas to the lake. one sandy,and one a large flat rock. two rafts anchored in the lake to hang out on,two tennis courts. a volleyball court,badmiten court, a sauna,hot tub. hiking,tv room, at least three grills, rc room with ping pong,playground for the kiddies, so on and so on.so people are all over but in small groups. plenty of spots for quiet time too. but i like to socialize. one thing neat for all you new yorkers and northern new jerseyites, in less that an hours drive, you really feel like you are out in the woods.and with the higher elevation, it's about 10 degrees cooler than nyc area during those dog days of summer-ahhhh!Comment

Rock Lodge membership does include singles (see my message above). However, it also strives to maintain a balance between single females and males. Please write to me directly Chris when you would like to visit.
Rinnies is right...due to higher elevation it is great place to cool off -- in mid summer especially. While everyone heads to the beach to cool off, some head to the mountains of New Jersey...and a LOT LESS traffic getting there.
Cool mountain breeze, can't beat it.
