Bridge to Playalinda

I think I heard something about the Max Brewer Bridge being closed for three weeks. Anyone else know of this? I think that?s the bridge I cross when I go to Playalinda.

Hmmm.... and being a Sunday you can't call the DOT. Perhaps a phonecall in the morning would be a good idea and since you are local....

I'd like to know too. I might be heading that way in a week or two.

I'd like to head over this Sunday. Have you heard if it's all done yet?

We plan to be in fl from 6-10 to 6-13 and go out to Playalinda a couple of days. However we are leaving home next Wed. and will be w/o a computer hookup (will be in Mexico). So, if anyone knows the status of the bridge I would like to hear of it ASAP. If it is still going to be a problem we will go up to New Smyrna and Appollo.

NOTICE
The Max A. Brewer Causeway bridge is scheduled to open for regular operations no later then Friday, May 28, 2004.
But I think one lane is open..

Thanks. I checked the AAA web site and ask for an itinerary from Titusville to the Cape Canaveral National Seashore. Then clicked on construction and found nothing about any current construction.

I called the Merritt Island wildlife refuge this morning and they told me the bridge was still closed, but feel confident that it would be open this weekend. We will see..

Going to Virginia this weekend.. Oh well.

Wonderful!

I can't make it this weekend and will be tied up for several weekends but I think I will plan a trip over in the middle of the week sometime.
