Check this link out for latest news and very specific information on getting to the beach: http://www.littlebeachmaui.com/

A link to a subpage is cited above in this thread, but this one is to the main page. Apparently the news item about early closure is already obsolete, as the "new" rule has already been modified. There is apparently no change whatsoever in the daytime status, which means that Little Beach remains one of the premier c/o beaches in the world.

Earlier this year there were some problems with sharks in the area, but probably that's over with for now.

Thank you very much for information. I hadn't wanted to visit Hawaii as my wife and I usually go to a nude resorts and I didn't think I would be able to get naked there but my wife had always wanted to visit Maui. So now both of us will be happy and I shouldnt go home with tan lines

We just got back from Maui, and I'm glad to say that there are plenty of places to be nude. Little Beach is great, but I also saw topless women on Big Beach, and people were nude at Slaughterhouse Beach. It was a TON of fun!

In January we are off to the Big Island of Hawaii for 9 days, and then to Maui for 9 days as well. On Hawaii we will be staying at a C/O cabin and on Maui we have a cabin on 2 secluded acres and we were told that as long as we were discreet that they had no problem with it. I also read on a website that it is now legal for women to be topless on the beaches. Yeah, way to go. We have another couple that is coming with us, who are also C/O. The tickets and the reservations are all payed for so hope the time goes fast.

I am so jealous of all of you who are in or heading to paradise. I really love it there especially since it is in the low 20's here with a forecast of the possibility of 12 to 16 inches of snow in the next two days. PLEASE, take me with you.

Starting our second week on Maui and have been to Little Beach just about everyday. Was happy that my wife could make it up over lava flow while I did the pack horse routine but we did it.

It has been great - this is our first trip to Maui but not our last.

Fuzzy, one of the great pleasures of Maui is the dawn pushbike ride down the volcano. Get up before dawn, catch a bus up the mountain, see the sun rise from the top, then COAST ALL THE WAY DOWN to the coast. Except for some short sections where you have to peddle IT'S ALL DOWNHILL. It takes hours of downhill coasting to the ocean. An amazing experiance ending up at the beach. Then bus back

                Unfortunatly not possible nude.

We spent the mid to late afternoons on Little beach until dusk, watching the sun set. Sometime enjoying the Tom Toms drums being played.

                Have fun

OZJAMES - ThANKS for info but I have learned that it is very cold up there and did not bring any warm clothing. Besides it would take some of my nude time and that is precious.

Hey Fuzzy, glad to hear you are having a good time and the wife was able to make the climb. Isn't LB great? I wish I could afford to live on Maui as LB would be my home away from home.
Enjoy the rest of your stay and keep us posted on your adventures.

Fuzzy - We'll be coming to Little Beach not far behind you. Just booked the hotel yesterday for late January. Leave some sand for us.

I love it also. My only regret is it is 4,000 miles away. Have any of you Maui visitors ever checked out the Hyatt on Kannapali? My wife absolutely loves it. If ever in the area, take a walk around the hotel and grounds, I think you will enjoy it.

Luvnaturism, are you going to take in Red Sand Beach this trip? I did not observe any nudity on my two trips there and regret that I did not have the nerve to be the only nude person on the beach. I often wonder if anyone else would have made the same decision as I did. I will probably never see it again as I did not enjoy the drive to Hana since I was behind the wheel.
                          Have a great trip.

We haven't talked about whether we want to go to Hana this time. We love the drive, but we've done it four times already. We'll just see how we feel when we get there.

We wouldn't make the drive just for Red Sand Beach, particularly since my wife has a medical problem that makes it unwise for her to attempt the more difficult parts of that trail. On the other hand, if we're anyway I'd probably hike on for a short visit.

Unfortunately yesterday was a cloudy day with some rain in Maui so didn't get to Little Beach. Its still cloudy today but looking a tad brighter - hope it clears - cant have my tan fade. Our last 2 days on Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be clear and hot. - Keeping fingers crossed.
