I was there several years ago. Really liked the place. It was a bit rustic but worth it. The grounds are textile and not c/o. Some of the hot springs are textile and some are c/o they are well marked.
Have a great time and post a trip report after you return.

        Jack Ryan,

I have yet to visit Faywood Hot Springs but there is a netnude.com trip report that echos Sunchaser's comments. Link: http://www.netnude.com/main/info/states/NM.html

Check the Faywood Hot Springs website, http://www.faywood.com/, for latest status and contact information.

We tent camped there with two little kids last year, and we love it. Very low key. Delightful weather. That was our second visit.

Good place to ease a spouse into freedom. The areas that are c/o are quite small, however. The largest is the c/o "public" area, which has a patio seating area for maybe 5 people, hot pool for maybe 8 soakers, and lobster pot. Enough landscaping area around to circulate.

While people are friendly and do chat a bit, it seems mostly a place where people go to be quiet, mostly with their own group.

If arriving from the south, stop on the way at St. Clair Winery in Demming and get a jug or two.

I was there a couple of weeks ago. Faywood Hot Springs is both a day-use and overnight facility for people camping or staying in one of the cottages (or teepee). Some of the pools are reserved for the overnight guests only. There is a day-use area divided into clothing-optional and clothing-required areas. The clothing-optional area has three pools, labelled "very hot", "hot", and "cool". The "very hot" pool could fit three or four people and feels like it's close to 110 degrees F. The "hot" pool is the largest and could fit maybe eight people and is around 100 degrees F. The "cool" pool basically is only large enough for one person to lie down in it and is maybe 90 degrees F with a small footbath next to it. As previously mentioned, the c/o area has a small area around it with a few tables, chairs, and lounge chairs present. I went in the evening and had the place to myself, but I suspect the clientele is like what LetsGoOutside says.

The day-use fee is $12 for the entire day. There are also private pools available for rent for a somewhat greater fee (and in which of course one can wear whatever clothing one likes, if any).
