Any one here go to San Onofre a lot? I went there today cause the rain finally topped and we had some sun. I usually go here instead of Blacks beach less crowded and fewer gawkers. A good family beach especially in the summer. There have been problems but the regulars try to keep things under control. Kind of police ourselves so as to not give the park service a chance to shut it down.

      Yeah,

My wife and I go alot during the summer, 'bout once a week, sometimes two. We've met 4 other really nice couples there. One of the couples have become good friends and we do some clothed stuff together too.

Haven't been much since the begining of Sept. Work schedules conflicting with time on the sand. We've had our share of running off problem people. Heard through some of the regulars that our beach shows up on some undesirable web sites. This could be part of the problem we are encountering. Is most of the unwanted activity still beyond the fence line or has it made its way up to the main part of our beach?

We, my wife, friends and I, gotta get down there and help all the other regulars out to keep the beach safe. We would really hate to loose that beach because of some jerks.

Maybe see ya on the beach one day.

Hey Fireprof good to hear that. Well I was down there yeseterday and it seemed pretty well behaved. Of course down on the Camp Pendleton side they had a couple of people with lots of umbrellas around them. I guess to block the wind? Anyway I thought all was well, about 20 or so nudes down there. I was trying to finish a book so ended up staying later that usual. By the time that I headed up the trail it must have been almost 4PM.

So anyway I always stop at the top of the hill to catch my breath and take one last look at the beach. Much to my surprise I saw a couple on the wrong side of the lifeguard tower. What was worse is that they were starting to get it on. Not that it makes much of a difference but they were both men. Well I wanted to do something about it but I did not go back down there. I know I should have but I was already up on the hill. I just yelled at them a couple of times but it had no effect.

Yea I guess we are having more problems now, or maybe it's cause I haven't been down there when there is no lifeguard on duty and there is hardly anyone on the beach.

          NakedBob2,

Are you a member or aware of the Friends of San Onofre Beach group? We are, got an e-mail from the beach mom. Seems that the lifeguards and rangers are aware of the problem we nudist are having with these undesirables and have told Marianna, the beach mom, that they will be targeting them and not us. That's good news. She also said that we should complain to the lifeguards or rangers when we see these sexual activities.

If we do it enough, maybe the word will get out that we regulars don't tolerate that kinda stuff on our beach and these "open sex crazed jerks" will spread the word and look for some place else to hang out. It sure is comforting to know that the lifeguards and rangers are on our side and not lumping us into that group.

Sure do miss the beach...we'll get there soon. Til then, take care.

Yes I do belong to friends of San Onofre but I do not recall getting that email. I will now be more willing to bring this matter up with the rangers and the lifeguards now that I know that they are on our side.

Well hope you enjoyed the Santa Anna today. We are supposed to have another one next Friday. Well hope to see you on the beach someday.

when i was in the navy, san diego, this beach was my favorite one.but it was not that way at one time. the gay men would do alot of cruising there (mid 80's) and i would almost have to go to battlestations with them(KICK THEIR BUTT)when i left calif, the beach was very safe and nice to be on.
