Panama City, FL Nude/CO Beaches?

The wife and I will be in Panama, City, FL in July and would like to keep up our all over tan while there. Are there any nude or C/O beaches in the area that we can visit? Any maps, directions and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I think that you will have to go to the nudist resorts nearby, or else go further down south to Apollo beach near Titusville and Cape Canaveral.

If you are willing to drive a couple of hours there is a club up in Milton Fl, called the Riviera Resort. The Managers name is Pat Dennis, and she is an awesome gal. Its a small place but the people make you feel at home. I go there when I am TDY at Tyndall AFB in Panama City. I believe the other resort in Pace florida is called Suncoast ??? I may be wrong. Also there is parts of Navarre Beach that are CO, so there are a few options close by. Hope that helps.

There are some nudist friendly beaches (although not quite legal) west of Panama City over toward Pensacola. There is a long stretch of beach with small parking areas and if you find one that is unoccpied you can be nude. Or if you walk aways down from parking chances nobody will notice or complain.

East of Pananma City accessible only by boat, there are Gulf side barrier islands near the military base that can be used nude. Best time is during the week -less activity. But then again if you have a boat, problems solved.

The Riviera is the one by Pace; the one north of Milton is Sunburst. They are sister clubs, with common ownership. I've been to Sunburst many times, but never to Riviera.

Be very careful about nudity around the Navarre beaches. Acceptance ended there in 1999. (Unless someone from around there can give an update? I haven't been there for about three years now. Sol-Searcher?)

I grew up in the Panama City and Pensacola areas. There are no "official" nude beaches. However there is a beach on a peninsula (St Joseph Peninsula State Park) east of Panama City where I've heard some go nude there in the more isolated areas. The beaches up there are some of the most beautiful you will see.

There's also a nudist group in the area called the Bay Bares. (http://www.baybares.org/) though it looks like their site is down.

Hey guy.. I lived on Tyndall from 1974 to 1983. After my father retired we moved to Milton. Small world eh?

Just some trivia: Riviera used to be called Ethos Trace and was featured on an episode of MTV's "Road Rules" back in the early 90's. The show was about a group of colleg aged kids driving around the U.S. in an RV, on various "missions" and adventures. It was one of the first reality shows.

It was that episode that introduced me to the idea of social nudism, and also to the fact that there was a nudist club a few miles from my home (actually two). I never went to the clubs (was too shy then) but not too long after I learned about the clothing optional beach at Navarre (now closed to nude use). The rest is history!

I just returned from a short stay at Sunburst last week. Was going through the area on business and spent one night there. Charlotte, the manager, is delightful and personable.

The club is very quiet and caters to families. It is rather rustic so bring your own food. Overall, a great place to visit and relax!

Glad to hear it! She calls missourigirl and me, "You kids!" LOL! That's funny, because she knows she's younger than we are. We love it!
