Anybody been to this place recently? What's it like? Good for families or is it pretty much just the grown-ups?

Thanks Jason. I know of the Web site. I'm looking for anyone who's been there, or who goes with any frequency, and can tell me what the place is actually like. Grown-ups? Families with kids? A mix? Anyone?

Tim, I have not been there since August of 05, But from my visit last year it was a nice family oriented club. Nice sunning lawn, pool, food service and pool table. Very active members love to play water volleyball.

I was there about 2 weeks ago. It was not crowded, about 50 people. That was a pretty even mix of men and women. I only recall seeing 2 or 3 kids that day. People were mostly grouped in and around the pool. The restaurant was open. As mentioned before, water volleyball seems to be the big thing out there. Overall, I had a great relaxing visit there.

Going to be in the San Diego area a couple of times next month. Hoping to vist Sun Island on one of the trips. Does anyone know if unaccompanied males are welcome there?

Just had a great three days here. Location...great, 1.6mi from local casino. Staff...great. Resident locals...great everybody was very nice. Hiking trail was nice, go all the way to old ruins at the top. One family was here with thier three daughters in the pool. Great place to visit and we will be going back. They currently have about a dozen homes for sale.
