Other than resorts, are there any places in Virginia where nudity is acceptable -- a secluded beach, hiking area, swimming hole, etc.? Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm sure you could find a secluded place somewhere in the commonwealth. Where? I couldn't tell you. Acceptable, well, that depends on how secluded it is. Legal? I don't think so.

By the way, if you are near the Tidewater area (Virginia Beach/Norfolk) email me. I am trying to start up a group around these parts.

I am looking for the same. I would love to find another place besides WTP-it's fun, but kind of expensive for a day visit. There are some "swimming holes" in the western part of VA but it takes a good while to travel out there. It looks like Bob S. has the right idea by starting a group for this area. I would like to join that group and find some good spots around VA beach/Norfolk as well. Let's hook up and talk more. I love skinny dippin and nude boating.

More Virginians, this is great. I've been looking for spots to do some nude sunbathing at too, without having to pay so much to attend wtp. Glad to see we have a few more people around our parts.

Bob's club is starting to gain more interest, let him know so you can join.

As a long term member of WTP, if anyone hasn't visited there in awhile, there are some new amenities added since last fall. We have an indoor pool to go along with a brand new family pool, scheduled for opening in a couple of weeks, so we are now a full 365 days a year family nudist resort. On a winter weekend earlier this year, there were over a hundred people on the grounds for a water volleyball tournament. Check out Bob's website at www.white-tail-park.com for a schedule of events. See you at the park!!

I'll be at White Tail next weekend for the Christian Naturists Conference. Anyone else from this board going?

Have a great time, Melissa. I'm sure you'll enjoy White Tail. I'll be in Florida next weekend, but I look forward to seeing you at camp in July. Take care and drive safely. Say hi to Cheri for me.

It's acceptable around here among my neighbors. However, I haven't gotten anyone to join me yet on my daily, naked hikes in the natural area down along Ivy Creek. I live just west of Charlottesville.

I won't be going specifically for the CNC but I still plan to be at White Tail next Saturday, Melissa. Hope to see you there.

Dumb question, but one very important to me because of my very special diet right now... do they sell bags of ice at White Tail? It looks like I'll be packing a weekend's worth of food in my cooler and it'd be helpful to know if I'll be able to grab some ice while I'm there so I can keep things cool. Down 7.5 pounds and 9.75 inches now, by the way!

I'm going to Va Tech in Blacksburg for the Master Gardener College next weekend.

Anyone know any nude things going on there?

Someone sent me directions for a place to hike last year AFTER I got back. May give it a try. Wish the Huckleberry Trail there was a CO one.

I believe they do sell bags of ice at White Tail. If I remember correctly, they are right inside the screened part of the office.

But I do not know how much ice costs.

                          Hope to see you there.

                            hey Melissa,

Ice is $1.00 / bag including tax for an 8 pound bag. Hope your diet is successful. By the way, the food at the snack bar is good and pretty inexpensive and they do have great salads.

There is a place on the North Anna river off Route 1 that is open, on private land and a good swimming hole. Is hard to find but simple directions are about 1 mile down Oxford Road which is off Route 1 and 1/4 mile or so north of the N. Anna River bridge. Walk down a dirt logging access road (on left) to the river. E-mail me if you need more directions at [email protected]
