We've visit Lupin several times in the last 2 weeks and its been great! The weather has been perfect! It seems the club is getting better and more previous members are returning, putting the "Ed Dennis" situation behind them. I visited a few times with out my girlfriend and was still treated very well as a single male. Everyone is very friendly and the warm inviting atmosphere just makes you feel good.

If anyone plans on visiting we'd love to meet you up there!

Where is nearest airport and is renting a car necessary?

San Jose International Airport at the end of the bay. They have rental car outlets on or near the airport.

Use and Mapping Program such as MSN or MapQuest to show route, distance and directions to the resort.

Thanks for the detailed driving directions to Lupin Lodge. Readers should know that making a left turn from Southbound 17 onto Idylwild can be a VERY DANGEROUS route, as you're crossing two lanes of 50 mph northbound traffic. That turn onto Idylwild should be made ONLY during times of light traffic.

Complicating the route is that the prefered route on Old Santa Cruz Highway from the Bear Creek Road exit is closed for bridge repair through the end of November 2006.
